Father's Curse, Seiryuu's Blessing
By Master Solo
Summary: Nakago's young son always hated his parents… until he unexpectedly learns to appreciate what his parents inadvertently gave him.
He was blonde.
For that, life was frustrating; life was tasteless.
His eyes were blue.
For that, life was frustrating and twice as tasteless.
He was part Hin.
For that, life was tasteless and way too bloody and spent mostly on the run from persecutors.
And alone, save for the soldier who took him in.
For that, life was bloody and bitter.
All useless gifts from a Seiryuu-damned parent.
His mother was a blessed warrior and a weather goddess.
For that, life held high expectations that he could never fulfill.
And for all that, she was so incapable of raising a child that these guys had to take him in.
The father was even more powerful.
For that, he was living in an even larger shadow.
His father was a merciless man.
For that, life was miserable and full of ominous expectation.
People hated his parent that he most resembled.
In fact, they feared that heinous man.
For that, he… he wished that he was born to ordinary people, but he still grinned. So they feared the man whom he reminded them of and who had Kutou for a bit. It gave him an idea.
He wasn't his father, but he resembled the twisted man enough to threaten his way to the throne.
Perhaps it wasn't too bad after all.
"But you're too young to be…" protested one of the servants.
"Celestial warriors don't age," the boy lied and then threatened to let the courtier taste his chi. Just when he thought that he would be dead for pulling such a grand scale joke, the man fled.
He grinned and flashed those blue eyes and the girls gathered around him.
"Get us some drinks!" he ordered another servant. He flashed a slightly icier gaze and a more threatening grin and the servant scurried off. The boy laughed again.
Yes! Party!
For all this. This life. Perhaps the father that he despised was good for something besides ruining his life.
He twisted his fingers. He was Hin, and he ruled those who hated him.
For that, life was fun and way too ironic.
