DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN THE TOTAL DRAMA SERIES, HOWEVER I DO OWN THE PLOT AND THE CHILD.
About a week and a half into the show, Chris allowed the contestants' families to come and wish them luck, even the ones who already made it to Playa de Losers. Noah watched as everyone but himself hugged and cried in enjoyment with someone dear to them. Who needs family anyway? They're only a distraction, a weakness. Noah thought and suspired. He was quite aghast at his family. Even though they weren't close, he assumed that someone would come for him. Not even his mother was here. Suddenly, Noah was knocked to the ground with thin arms wrapped gingerly around his waist. His eyes widen in shock. Here was his youngest sister clinging to him with her head buried above his left hip. "Noah!" She cried out, hugging him as tight as her small stature would allow her.
He stood up and returned her hug. This girl was everything to him. "Hi, honey." Noah whispered, withdrawing her arms from his waist. When she stood, the girl came only to his chest at most. He looked behind her, the small amount of hope disintegrating when he saw she was alone. "Who brought you here?"
"Mama, but she stayed on the ship." Her voice was quiet and Noah couldn't help but to notice the shame lining her voice. Even at such a young age, she was noticing how unaware their family is. Maybe that's why Noah liked her; she was quite a bit like Noah himself. No, he didn't love his sister, but he doesn't really know how to love. No one ever cared enough to show him. "Noah." Her bright blue-green eyes filled with tears and her lower lip pouted. Those eyes looked so much like someone else's, it's starting to drive him crazy. Tears fall and he couldn't stand it any longer. He pulled her to him and held her head to his chest. Noah shushed the girl, silently urging her tears away. He could feel another's eyes on them but he couldn't have cared any less. His sister was hurting.
She sniffled and looked up at her older brother. "When.. are you coming home? I miss you, oniichan." Oniichan was something Noah had taught her when she was younger and it gave him a strange feeling that pulled at his heart. Oniichan is Japanese for big brother.
"I do not know, boku no taisetsuna. I do not know." He said, trying to ease both of their feelings. Chris soon announces that it is time for everyone to leave and for the contestants to return to the show. The small girl hugs her brother one last time before finally letting him go. She whispers, almost too low for Noah to hear. "I love you, Noah." She runs off towards the boat and Noah is left only able to stare at her retreating figure.
A soft hand grips his shoulder. The genius looks at the intruder only after the boat was gone and out of sight. It was Cody, the dork on the island or so he was labeled. Noah looked at the boy and that pulling returned to his heart. Those bright, needing blue-green eyes. Her eyes. His eyes. Without giving it another thought, Noah pulls Cody to him, hugging him tightly. Cody says nothing and returns the hug, just previously seeing his family leave. Why had it only been one, one small child that came for Noah? Wasn't there someone else for him? His parents and his seven other siblings? I love you, too, little one.
