Lucas sat in the diner, eating a salad roll. It was packed in the diner, as it was lunchtime.

He couldn't stop staring as a tall, skinny girl walked into the diner.

She had long, chocolate brown layered hair with golden, caramel and butterscotch streaks. Her eyes were big, deep, dark blue and electrifying. She had a cute button nose and light freckles.

She was wearing quite short white shorts with black spots, a long hot pink top and a black Supre belt around her waist.

She smiled at Lucas as she ordered a small black coffee.

While she waited she approached him.

"Hey." she greeted.

"Oh, hey." he replied with a grin.

"Do you mind if I sit here when I get my coffee? Like, there's no other tables spare." she pleaded.

"Yeah, sure. I'm Luke by the way." he agreed.

"I love the name Luke! It's so cute. I'm Heidi." she explained, sitting opposite him.

"Cool." Lucas blushed slightly.

"So, do you live around here?" Heidi asked.

"Yeah, I've lived here for a few years." he answered.

"It's a cute town, I'm thinking of moving here." she told him.

Irene approached them.

"Here's your coffee, young lady." she handed Heidi the coffee.

"Behave, Lucas." she said with a grin and walked off.

"Is she your Mum?" asked Heidi, taking a sip.

"Nah. Everyone knows everyone in this town. She's my ex-girlfriend's foster mum. Well kinda. She just looks after her." Lucas explained.

"Oh, no. Speak of the devil. Here's my ex." Lucas groaned.

Belle walked over.

"Hi, Luke." she greeted.

"Oh, do you want me to leave?" Heidi asked.

"Yes." Belle said sharply.

"No, ignore Belle." Lucas apologised.

"What do you want Belle, it's over." he snapped.

"I wasn't kissing Drew, Luke, he was kissing me!" she insisted.

"I don't care, I don't like you anymore. Just leave me alone."

Belle ran from the diner, sobbing.

"Is that your ex? She's pretty." laughed Heidi.

"She's trouble. She cheated on me." Luke told Heidi with a grimace.

"Skank." Heidi grinned.

"Totally." Luke agreed.

Irene rushed over.

"Would you care to explain, Lucas, why Belle is so upset?" she demanded.

"She's trying to get back with me and I don't like her 'cos she cheated on me." Lucas explained.

"Yeah, Luke did nothing wrong, Belle is just totally mean." Heidi put in.

Irene sighed.

"Belle loves you, Luke."

"Well she shouldn't cheated on me." Lucas said defiantly.

Irene glared at Lucas and stormed off.

"So... do you like me?" Heidi asked.

"Huh? I don't know you!" Lucas replied.

"I don't know, I just like to know before I ask someone out." she said with a smile.

"You're going to ask me out?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah, if that's okay." Heidi answered.

"It's fine with me, I was going to ask you out too." Lucas admitted.

"I'm seventeen by the way." she told him.

"I'm eighteen." Lucas added, grinning.

"So, where do you want to go on the date?" she asked.

"I don't know. Wanna come to my house and watch a movie or something?" he asked.

"Do you have a pool?" she asked.

"Yeah!" he lied.

"Awesome."
