Atobe had been waiting for nearly half an hour already. His carefully laid out plans now ruined and unsalvageable. Jirou had told him at the end of practice that he would meet him at Atobe's car, that he wanted to get ready for their date without Atobe there to see him.

'That Jirou, what could be taking him so long?' Atobe thought, frustrated. 'And why in the world would he want to get ready in the clubroom?'

Finally too impatient to wait any longer, Atobe got out of the car and started walking back towards the club building. Opening the door to the room, Atobe noticed that Jirou's racquet and uniform were still lying on the bench. 'So he hasn't even packed his things yet...'

"Jirou."

Atobe moved closer to the bench, where Jirou was lying asleep. 'How could he have fallen asleep? He knew we had a date today.'

Crouching down to look at him, Atobe barely noticed the quick smirk on Jirou's face before he was lying on his back on the floor with the other boy on top of him.

"I didn't think you would wait so long, Atobe. Your patience is getting better," Jirou grinned at Atobe as he sat on him with his arms folded across the other's chest.

"Wha... Jirou...?" Atobe wasn't speechless very often, but each time it was Jirou who managed to catch him off guard. He didn't get to worry about his lack of eloquence for much longer, because Jirou had leaned down and captured his lips with his own.

The kiss lasted several seconds before Jirou broke it off to grin at Atobe again.

"Ne, Keigo"

"Huh?" Jirou was just having this affect on him today, Atobe assumed.

"Happy anniversary," Jirou kissed his nose and Atobe scrunched up his face at the gesture before smiling back.

"You remembered? Though I can't say I'm surprised..."

"Of course I remembered," Jirou replied. "I decided I didn't want us to go out this year, so I waited for you to get impatient and come back in to get me."

Pulling Jirou towards himself again, Atobe didn't let him say anymore. He'd reprimand him for breaking their dinner plans later. Right now he was going to thank his boyfriend for giving them a more meaningful anniversary, even if it was in the clubroom.
