Have you ever felt like an outsider? I have, sometimes when I'm with my family I do because I don't like anything that they like but.. I guess that's why you make friends, to be with people who are as weird as you! But what if you couldn't make friends?

That's why I write this, Enjoy xx

The Outsider

Donatello was different in every way.

He was a giant talking mutant turtle which meant he was green and scaly and had a rather large shell, he wasn't with the humans.

He was also intelligent, liked science and had a constant thirst for knowledge. His other green mutant brothers however did not, they considered him strange and boring.

In short, Donatello was an outsider to the whole world.

In fact he lived in his own little world.

His world was filled in gadgets, experiment and means of learning. His world was his lab. He did occasionally leave his world to venture to the real world where he would be with his family, the ones who were different. He helped them in many ways that they would never understand but he never really thought about it.

All he wanted to do at the end of the day was crawl back to his precious lab, his world.

The one place he ruled and belonged, the place where nobody could hurt or bother him.

He sometimes let others in but they never stayed for long, they never wanted to.

Except one.

While out with his family in the real world he met a girl, Miss April O'Neil, She was beautiful and smart. She too was sixteen and loved science but best of all they could talk for hours about intelligent things that they other brothers wouldn't want to discuss.

Donnie's world was brightened by the presence of this fn, intelligent new friend. His world and his life had meaning, he knew she'd never hurt him so he let her stay for as long as she could.

But one day his world turned back to grey.

April stopped coming, they stopped talking and his lab was his once again.

Donnie didn't love it as much as he used to, it was a dark and lonely place. All it did was show him how much of an outsider he really was.

He had always known he was weird but he had never really cared, he did now. He cared more than he should, he couldn't change himself but he wanted to.

His brothers left him alone, they thought he needed space but he didn't. He needed company, someone to be there for him and to listen to him. He wasn't going to get that, ever.

And so now Donatello sits in his office chair in front of his computer screen and watches his life slowly slip past. He just sits and waits for the day his friend comes back to him.

He waits alone.

Wow.. that was short.. and depressing... Why am I proud of this? It must be all the feels and stuff in it... I don't know! Please Review xx
