Chapter 1- One Strange Kid

Hey. I found this diary on the street today, and it was empty other than three pages. So this is my first one:

Dear Diary,

I just want to tell you about me for a bit. My name is Kate. I am a 13 year old kid with adopted parents that don't really like me that much. I sometimes just want to leave, but I have nowhere to go. I have ADHD and Dyslexia, and I have a knack for getting into trouble. My best friends are Mitch and Amber and they adopted too.

Today was tough at school. I couldn't read the board and my ADHD kicked in. I also have a teacher that hates me for some reason. One Good thing is that I met the new teacher, Ms. Jane Foster. She's really nice and smart. We also get to go to the zoo tomorrow! Well, I have a lot of homework to do, so, bye!
