Thalia's thoughts when she became a tree in the form of a Villanelle.
A Cursed Salvation
Father, thank you for saving me,
I see that your kindness delivers.
However, I will forever be a tree.
A daughter of Zeus, a guarantee,
Just like a bow with a quiver.
Father, thank you for saving me.
But, we can say to a certain degree,
That you are my taker and my giver.
Because, I will forever be a tree.
They're no monsters, no sky, no sea,
My life, no longer a crashing river.
Father, thank you for saving me.
For me, there was nowhere to flee,
But hope always comes in slivers.
However, I will forever be a tree.
I see now, that I will never be free,
And for that I can't help but shiver.
Father, thank you for saving me,
However, I'll be nothing but a tree.
