Why? Because I love Echorium Sequence, am a crazed Kherron/Rialle shipper, and a drabbler to the core. Do you need to know anything else about me?

Pairing: third-person Kherron/Rialle. Oh, and a little Caell/Jillian if you squint.

Disclaimer: Not mine. If I owned it, Frenn would have died in the tunnel collapse XD

Instinct on Love

¤

Maybe Jillian was the first one to notice.

She was, after all, a pirate's daughter. Granted, she wasn't a very good one, but she still had that deeply rooted instinct that all good thieves have. The need to take in and understand every detail.

Later, Caell would tell her that Singers didn't know love. That they bred at random and their children never knew who they were. That the idea of parental love was hardly as strong on the Isle as it was on the mainland.

Jillian thought this was the most absurd thing she'd ever heard. Kyarra, who was more a Singer than anybody Jillian knew, loved Yashra -- that's why they were all here, wasn't it?

But there was the question of Singer Kherron. Graia demanded to know why he put finding the Crazy Singer above everything else. Why she came before Kyarra and Yashra and Frazhin and everything else a Second Singer was supposed to fix.

To Jillian, who was a braggart and rather liked peace (but don't tell anyone) and eventually would become Caell's wife, it was perfectly obvious.

Kherron had been holding on to Rialle's hand rather tightly.
