It was a staring contest that put all other in the history of world, of multiple worlds in fact to utter shame, with eyes locked and mouths at firm tight lines Rose watched in disbelief. Both complained of the others stubbornness ignoring their own, or least considering it much less annoying. The Doctor was first crack the frozen scene by clearing his throat, yet it was Jackie's voice heard first.
"Are you going to tell me!?" Their eyes were locked, Rose was surprised they weren't circling each other as if savage animals in the plains.
"I don't like them."
"Why not? And who doesn't like daffodils? That's absorbed!" Rose watched a grin fly to her mother's lips as the Doctor stepped away to the table where the flowers laid, the source of the display of silliness and deep hidden fear.
"Yeah if you were once attacked by them you'd look at them differentially." Jackie begins to laugh as Rose feels her heart pain slightly for him. Always so brave, strong and courageous, and unexcepted bouquet of flowers given to someone else almost breaks him.
"I'll ask you again Jackie if you'd please get rid of them, please?" Still laughing, not understanding the tall man in his ridiculous jacket she walks forward picking up the yellow villains and hides them in an open card board box.
"Afraid of daffodils!"
