It was a rainy April day. It would have been average; if it was not for the fact that one girl was expecting the visit of a boy. This boy was motherless, and since anyone of this girl's generation knew, every daughter of the direct Darling blood line would mother this boy for a week. It was generally an unknown thing whether or not the boy would come, but tonight gave one of those feel good feelings, one where this boy was expected to show. Anna Darling anticipated the visit. He hadn't shown up the year before, or the one before that, but tonight she had a feeling she would get to see the infamous boy. He had been visiting the English family for years and years, never ageing each time. The year now 2006, and his visit was to be celebrated by this child.

Lying in bed, Anna patiently awaited the visit of the boy, but her eyelids grew droopy and time began to slow down. Soon, she found her eyes closing and herself in dream like world. But there was one thing that brought her out of sleep. A knocking at the window to be specific. Her head shot up and she slipped out of bed, stumbling on one of her sister's dolls. She opened the window, a grin on her face, and there he stood. The boy she had heard stories about. She hadn't actually met him, but she could tell it was him. His bright hair and dirty impish face (Ears and everything), his ratty clothes, and the pointed hat upon his head made it obvious to point out the identity of Peter Pan, King of the Lost Boys. Stepping back away from the window, Anna held out her hand to help Peter down. Instead, he pushed it away and jumped, giving a wild smile.

"Are you my new mother?" He asked his voice thick with impatience, and a little greed.

Anna smiled largely and nodded.

"Mhm. Are you Peter Pan?" she asked, staring into his wild eyes. They were happy little orbs, glowing on his face in the dark light.

"Not just Peter Pan, but The Peter Pan. Now come on, the rest of the Lost boys are excited!" The boy seemed anxious, but he reached out and snatched Anna's hand. A small fairy floated in, circling the girl. Peter led Anna to the window, stepping onto the sill. He didn't let go of her hand the whole time. "Now, think happy thoughts, and jump!" Before Anna could barely respond, Peter leapt, dragging her along with him on the way. Instinct told Anna she was going to plunge into the streets, but the happiness of seeing the boy, kept her up. She couldn't believe it, she was flying!

"Now, first star on the left then straight on till morning!" The boy said cheerily, leading Anna through the clouds to Neverland.
