Hunk carted in the gourds and pumpkins he'd hauled in from the wild fields of the planet Jongukh. While the planet had no known sentient life, it had some of the most beautiful flora as well as geography in all the universe. With his impressive strength he carried all of the plants into the castle ship dining in only a few trips. He dumped them all onto the long table and then separated the pumpkins from the gourds.

Once the work was finished he walked the gourds around the ship, placing them wherever they were aesthetically pleasing. They weren't the kinds of gourds to be seen on Earth, they came in many bright colors and looked as if they had been painted to look that way, they were so vibrant. Hunk humorously left a stack of light orange, purple, green, and blue gourds near Allura's large bedroom to resemble her Altean mice. He was sure that she'd get a kick out of it later.

After finishing the gourd distribution, the real fun would begin. Due to the variety of pumpkins on Jongukh, Hunk was able to carve a lion into five different pumpkins with appropriate coloring and stack them on top of each other to make a Voltron of pumpkins. He put the Voltron in the paladin's lounge, so that everyone would be able to see it before going back to the kitchen to continue his carvings. When he returned he found Keith drinking Seofrian water out of a rectangular cup.

To everyone on Team Voltron's delight, except maybe Keith, Keith had been granted leave from the Marmora to celebrate his birthday with the paladins. He'd been given surprisingly large amount of time off, ten days to be exact. It wasn't that Keith wasn't glad to be with his family again; he was ecstatic, but he felt like he should be working hard with the Marmora instead of actually being happy. The team didn't really talk much of it, but they were aware that Keith was ashamed to be happy whenever he was.

"Keith what are you doing up so early?" Hunk asked from concern.

"You were up earlier than me; I heard you walking around the castle leaving these everywhere." He held up a dusty red large gourd that Hunk had set outside his door. "Anyways, aren't pumpkins supposed to be orange," he said gesturing at the white pumpkin Hunk was studying.

Hunk smiled, and Keith returned the grin with a creeping smirk of his lovely joy.

"You should help me with the pumpkins," Hunk suggested slyly. "I've got an idea."

Keith considered it for a moment before replying, "Sure buddy."

The two meticulously sculpted the hard flesh of the pumpkins and by the end they had carved and painted an exact copy of Beezer from a large rectangular and white pumpkin for Pidge. The happy boys left the fake robot outside of Pidge's room and waited for her to see it.

The whole of the castle was awakened by Pidge's gleeful screaming when she spotted the pumpkin. She wasn't even made when she figured out it wasn't the real robot.
