The world made so much sense at that very moment, him running through the store's corridors and departments, it thrilled every fiber of his being to search for her. The constant focus being simply, her. His heart beat rapidly as his search was coming to an end and she was no where to be found. Had she left him? Deserted him? He would not believe it, could not believe that she would do that to him. Never.
She could never…then suddenly he saw her from a distance. He knew her stance well, straight and elegant. He called out to her to reassure himself it was no dream, that the barrier of reality and dream realm was broken. When he heard her name escape his mouth and she responded in turning towards him, he stopped, cemented to where he was. He searched her eyes and let go of the breath he had been holding. An overwhelming calmness overwhelmed him. 'This is what a soul at ease must feel like.' he thought.
He walked towards her, never letting go of those perfect blue orbs that captivated him since the first day he saw her standing in front of his store, he remembered her hair cascading around her like a golden halo.
Everything about this woman was an enchantment. As he closed the gap between himself and her, he smiled, mirroring her own. His face inching towards her, towards the calling to her lips, he felt like this was a moment frozen in time. It had to be. His lips touched hers and he felt that familiar and hungry desire that overwhelmed his senses each and every time he kissed this woman. Would he ever tire of her kisses? No. He could not even imagine such a notion. She was his home.
He could feel her smile through their chaste kiss, it was alluring and contagious. He smiled too. God how could this not be a perfect dream. How he wished it never would end, but he knew it would but they had each other and that was all that mattered now. Love did not make one weak, it made one feel invincible. He would not lose her. Never. This was his true 'Paradise'. Her. Just Denise.
