Mr X's Dad Joke

No matter what job you have, even if you are a spy, as a Great Father, you must always make at least one pun or Dad joke to your children. Drabble.

Mr. X summoned his son to the master bedroom with authority in his voice.

"Do you want to know why I and your mother named you Truman?" Mr. X asked.

Truman shrugged.

Because we know one day you will become a TRUE MAN!" Mr. X boomed the punchline with glee.

There was an awkward silence that followed.

"Was that it?"

"Yup." Truman then left the master bedroom, embarrassed his namesake is a pun.

As his son left Mr. X pulled out of his nightstand a book titled "How to Be a Great Dad" and checked off Number 35. "Dad Jokes".
