People were all unique. They cannot always be so easily categorized into who someone's parents were or even what bloodlines they possessed.

He followed this rule more than the usual, though he didn't know who his parents were.

It wasn't something obvious like how he looked, and really, no one even knew there was anything different about him. That is, of course, besides the obvious. Having the Kyuubi inside you does make you quite a bit different from others after all.

It was attributed to great luck, good skills at evasion, having great stealth since he was little, but it was so much more, and no one ever needed to know.

When he got old enough to understand more, and put words to his thoughts, he would say that it was like he could see two minutes into the future.

Again though, that wasn't quite correct, because it wasn't something so simple as seeing what was going to happen, no, it was living it. He had always been able to live what would happen two minutes into the future, to hear, to smell, and to feel everything. Then he could change it.

He thought of it maybe as instead of living two minutes into the future, he could go back two minutes into the past.

This may seem like a good thing, and it was, but there were consequences.

Many will say that we learn more from failure or our wrong choices then we do when we make the right ones, and they would be right.

Now imagine that you lived through ten, or even a hundred different choices that were wrong before you managed to do it right.

That meant that you lived through a hundred wrong choices, and all the consequences of those wrong choices, whether that be a scolding, a beating, or dying. Live that a hundred times where as a normal person might only have to live through one beating.

You may feel that if it was so bad, that you may give up early and just take that beating, avoid that extra hundred beatings you may suffer to change what was going to happen.

That would be giving up though, and if you knew him, you also knew that he never would.

This was the tale of Uzumaki Naruto.
