"After all, Weiss… You know what they say about a relationship between an Arc and a Schnee…"
Weiss gritted her teeth, no, she can't accept this. She won't let this happen! Damn that idiot… Damn her for being an idiot.
"J-Jaune?"
"Fuck!" She shook her head free of her tears. No, she wasn't crying, no… There was no way in hell she was crying after what that idiot had done!
A touch so warm, in contrast to her own cold ones, urged her to go closer, deeper into its warm embrace.
Why was she an idiot? Why did she let him go? Why did she believe him?
She moved closer.
Why did he believe her?
He moved closer.
She was tired, tired from everything. At this point it was a miracle she was even alive and standing, had it not been for a certain Winchester moving to aid her against a pack of Grimm.
They met each other with passion, which quickly melded into one of pure intention.
She had arrived at Beacon, and had seen the different states her friends were at. But she only focused on one of them.
But it did not last forever.
She saw Pyrrha, clutching something close to her, the way her face looked states that she had been crying for a while now. Pyrrha looked up at Weiss and could only say one thing as she held Crocea Mors close to her.
"Jaune!" She said as she was shoved into a locker, and cursed at how she couldn't destroy it to open it. Her eyes widened as she saw what Jaune was about to do, and cried as she couldn't stop him, "No!"
"I'm sorry…"
He smiled at her, it wasn't the same smile he always gives to his friends, no it was one that was usually only reserved for one person.
"No… No… It can't be!" Weiss cried as she held onto Crocea Mors, Pyrrha releasing it from herself. "He's fine… Right, Pyrrha? He… That idiot, where is he hiding, tell me Pyrrha!" Weiss cried, as Pyrrha also cried harder, "No… Jaune, show yourself! You idiot!"
For her.
"Th…this is all that is left." Pyrrha said, as she sobbed, handing Weiss a necklace. It was one that Jaune told her about… it meant something for the Arcs. But Weiss couldn't care about it now, screaming as she realized just what this meant for him.
They were two sides of the same coin. So close yet so far apart at the same time… Once he might have thought to woo her. But now, now he didn't wish so.
She hated admitting it, but now she could only lament the fact that she never did. Remembering his last words, it was one so cruel. Then again, was it not what she said back then too?
"… They're never meant to be."
