Twilight is the property of Stephanie Myers. I do not own it. Fuck no I do not own it. If I did, they wouldn't sparkle.
The feeling of waking up wasn't something Edward Cullen was used to. Being a vampire he never needed sleep: regaining consciousness was the closest he came to waking up in centuries. Judging by the sounds he was on a cliff overlooking the ocean. His wrists and arms hurt, an attempt to move told him that he was bound, and visually looking told him that he was bound with thick steel cables to something hard and cold, probably the steel support beam that he had been pummeled with in the fight.
His eyes widened as he remembered the fight. He had been on his way to Bella's when he had been violently pulled from his car at high speeds. By the time his head stopped spinning he was at the construction site of a new store that was being put up, when he had spotted him. He hadn't trusted him from the moment he laid eyes on the stranger: he was too charming, to noticeable, but not in the ways that truly counted. He had tried to warn the other, but they didn't see it, didn't want to see it, and trusted Bella's judgment.
He turned out to be more dangerous than he ever could have imagined. He wasn't a vampire, but his speed was incredible and he was Emmet's equal in strength, but to add to the danger he shrugged off everything thrown at him as though it didn't even bother him. But even worse than that, Edward couldn't read his mind. It was different then Bella, Bella he could at least feel her mind. This….thing was like a ghost in the worst sense of the words.
Walking over with a skip in his step, whistling that insufferable children's lullaby, he kneeled down and grinned him, his bright yellow eyes shining at him.
"I know you won't believe me Eddy boy, but I am sorry it came to this. I told you to leave me to my work. I wasn't bothering your lot; you just needed to extend that same courtesy. Too late for that though." He said, before petting Edward on the head before grabbing the beam he was tied to and lifting it up.
The next feeling Edward had was that of being hurled through the air, until he hit the water and sank to the bottom, as he struggled to break free. But it was no use, the cables were on to securely and he couldn't gather the strength to break them in the position he was in. He had no choice but to hope Alice would have a vision and the others would come to save him.
Brushing his hands off onto his clothes, the stranger whistled. He hadn't expected to toss Sparklely as far as he had. Turning he began to head off back in the direction of Forks. About 15 minutes later his phone began to ring. Checking the caller ID, he answered.
"Hey Bella, what's going on?...No I haven't seen Ed since yesterday. Wait no that's not true, I saw him driving North on the road, looked to be in a hurry….Of course, if I see him I'll let him know. Ok, see you tomorrow." Hanging up, he glanced back at the ocean, and then resumed his walk towards his temporary home. He still had a lot of work to do.
Ok, this is me poking an idea I've had for a while with a stick. It'll crossover with different elements of different stories at different points. If I get enough responses I'll add a second chapter, telling who the person tossing Edward in the ocean was, why he did so, what he is, how Bella knows him, ECT. I hope you like it. Please Read & review.
