An Average Day
Percy was having a morning like every other one. He had gotten up, brushed his teeth, showered, changed his clothes and Iris message his friend Grover. He could hear the sound of pots and pans in the kitchen, smiling to himself he was reminded of his mornings when he was younger and heard his mom cooking him pancakes. This time though, he no longer lived with his mom.
Walking out into the kitchen, his wife was wearing his shirt from the day before that reached a little below her thighs and her golden hair was up in a bun with strands of curls hanging on odd sides and in front of her face. She had a bit of flour on her right cheek and he could see the small smile that formed on her lips as she flipped a perfect rounded pancake.
"Percy's gonna love these," Annabeth smiled to herself, and Percy could tell she had worked hard in making them the shade of blue he loved. There was a mess all over the table. Annabeth was usually a great cook, but he knew making blue food items wasn't the easiest. Still, there wasn't anything that Annabeth couldn't do.
"I already do." Percy smiled as Annabeth jumped a little. It was rare to see her get surprised. Her reflex skills were amazing, so he knew she had been very concentrated for her to not pay attention to her surroundings.
"Percy!" She glared at him, but she still had a smile on her face, so it didn't really phase Percy. "You scared me, Seaweed brain."
"I know, I scare myself sometimes too," The sound of her laughter was music to his ears. Wrapping his arms around her from behind as she continued smiling, he kissed her cheek.
"Someone is in a great mood today." Annabeth noticed as she peeked at Percy from the corner of her eye. "It's just an average day, what's up?"
Percy smiled. "That's the whole point. It's just an average day for me and I love it."
