Being home alone was incredibly boring, Sirius thought at he rocked back and forth in his favorite chair. Hermione was gone on Ministry business and wouldn't be home till later that evening. Meaning the whole house was to himself.
The morning started off on a bad note. Sirius woke up on the wooden floor with a pain in his lower back. While trying to make breakfast, he burned himself and the eggs.
Then while rushing down to stairs to save the burning eggs he fell down the stairs and got a bruise on his knee.
Finally to top it all off, Remus stopped by and made fun of him. "You can't even last three days without Hermione gone!" He joked.
Sirius mumbled under his breath and stormed upstairs.
In the afternoon, Sirius rode his broomstick around. In the process of doing so, he knocked several things off the shelves and broke many picture frames.
It was nearly seven o' clock now. Hermione should be home anytime soon.
Walking upstairs, Sirius walked into their bedroom. He flopped onto the bed and let out a loud groan. The pain in his lower back had came back to haunt him.
Rolling over he stretched and grabbed a book off the nightstand.
Romeo and Juliet-A Tragedy by William Shakespeare
Hermione was reading this? Sirius thought to himself. Sirius eyebrow rose as he went to the first page of the book.
It seemed like hours he was reading the old book. He found it interesting about Romeo and Juliet's 'love at first sight.'
"Well, look at this. Sirius Black is actually reading a book." Sirius jumped at the voice. He quickly looked up and saw his wife looking at him smugly.
He gave a small smile. "Thank Merlin you're home!" Sirius jumped up and hugged her tightly.
Smiling, she hugged him back. "I missed you." She heard him mumble into his hair.
"And I missed you too. But I just want to know one thing." Pulling away from him, she gave a stern look.
"Why is your broomstick stuck in a picture frame?"
