Do you know what's happened to me? I've seen my master die. Not that I minded, he was a cruel man anyway, but I thought they might at least set me free! But no! Apparently I'm only good enough to serve and so I found myself trudging along with the rest. However, they had put a rope around my neck so I wouldn't escape ( honestly… me: escaping? What do they think of me?) and so I found myself continuously bumping into my companions.
Anyway, as I was being led on I didn't really pay attention as to where we were going and so I didn't notice it when they had all stopped and as a result I bumped into one of my friends' behind (which wasn't very nice actually).
Some time passed and they called me and my friend's name. Of course we advanced as obedient servants do when they are called. There were three persons from which two were very peculiar, one of them took a hold of me and began talking to me in soft tones, he seemed very nice although he still looked funny!
Our big master (which is the master of our masters) said something else and then they just abandoned us there! I wanted to be free! I wanted to get away from that group yes, but not to join some other group!
The man… thing took hold of the rope around my neck and gently pulled it off, this for one made me happy, what didn't was the other person… thing… whatever, who kept grumbling things and looking at me in a very evil way. I decided I had enough of it and tried to kick the annoying little brat. That only made him even redder in the face ( and believe me he was already very red!) but the other two only laughed at him.
The nice one jumped on my back and pulled the annoying one up behind him. This made me very angry and I tried to throw him off, however the nice person whispered nice words in my ear and when he noticed it didn't work he began to threaten me. And so I had no choice but to do as they ordered me. We set off in the opposite direction the others had taken and that got me even more annoyed. I'm not stupid you know! I realised that they were taking me back towards the evil beings who kill so many beings and that we were moving towards the danger.
However, with the threats still in the back of my mind I decided to stay calm.
By the way, my name is Arod, and I'm a very unhappy Rohirrim horse!
