Merlin's parents meet in Ealdor
Father is on the run from the king and his guards – story starts with him running in the forest
Sees smoke in the distance, scene ends with him running towards it
Scene begins with him breaking into a small shed on the edge of a small town. Passes out in a pile of hay
Wakes up to a woman nudging his feet, she agrees to help him hide from lurking castle guards in Ealdor
He stays with her for months, and they eventually fall in love
However, castle guards come back as someone told them he was in Ealdor, and the man decided to leave to keep the woman safe
Leaves in the middle of the night, when she is sleeping. Left with no warning
Ends to the woman crying when she realizes he is gone, because she is pregnant, and never got the chance to tell him. She finds his jacket in front of the town of Ealdor, and she believes the man to be dead.
