The Ice Queen

Summary: *one shot* very short and fluffy I guess. Lily Evans is Hogwarts Ice Queen. She has never let herself love a guy. Takes place in her 7th year. A Christmas ball is coming nearer and James asks the girl to which his heart belongs. Will he manage to break through the Lily's cold heart?

"Listen Evans.you know the Christmas ball is coming up and I was wondering.will you go with me?"
Lily Evans sighed and turned around, looking into her fellow Gryffindor 7th years eyes. "For the last time Potter.I would never go out with you if we were the last to people on the whole damned earth. Why do you have to bother me?! You're Mr. Popularity; you can have any girl in the school. Why do you bother me you arrogant, insignificant, jerk?!"
"Why do you always do that Evans? Out of all the balls and Hogsmeade trips our whole time at Hogwarts; you have never had a date. You have been asked countless times. By myself, Sirius, Remus, even peter once, and by a whole bunch more. Why do you never agree to go with them? Why do you shut yourself off like that? You are like an ice queen or something!" James called after lily's retreating back. Lily turned back around and walked right up to him and looked up at him.
"You want to know why I never have gone on a date with anyone in this school?!?! Because you are all bloody perverts! All that you care about is getting some! Maybe if some of you could get your heads out of the damned gutter, then maybe I might consider it. You have no consideration whatsoever, you are a player, and all you care about is sex. You have no dignity at all! You don't care for people's feelings, you--"
As lily was ranting, James had leaned down and now cut lily's angry outburst short as he planted a soft kiss on her lips. He pulled away slowly looking into her shockingly green eyes which held a shocked expression, and then leaned into another kiss. This one was more passionate.
James again broke the kiss and backed up a little, grinning. "You know Evans; I think that you are right in a way. I don't care about most peoples feelings, but for some unexplainable reason, I do care about you my."
"Oh shut up," lily said, and kissed James. Hogwarts' ice queen was melting away in his arms.
