Everything I read on fanfic seems to turn into complete angst… so in need of some pure and utter fluff, I sat down and wrote this. Just a drabble; may turn into a collection of drabbles about Glee parings finding out new and interesting things. If it does there will be no specific character. But at the end of the day, if it's not Klaine, my interest is lessened… Rated T.

DISCLAIMER: Last time I checked, my name was not Ryan Murphey. Therefore I do not own Glee.

Brontophobia

Kurt had just finished his nightly moisturising routine and was about to slip under his covers and fall asleep to the sound of the rain against the sky window in his Dalton dorm when he heard a whimper through the wall. He sat up, suddenly fully alert, as he knew that on the other side of that wall was Blaine. After hearing the sound of crying emanating from the Warbler's room, Kurt got up out of bed and knocked on his boyfriend's door.

"Wh-Who is it?" Blaine called from inside

"Kurt. It's me, sweetie," Kurt replied, his ear pressed against the wooden door, his hand already poised on the handle. He heard the small sigh of relief at the name 'Kurt'.

"Come in." Kurt didn't need to be told twice. He studied the older boy's room. Everything seemed to be in order; until his eyes fell on the bed. The sheets were bundled up in the centre of the bed and they were shaking. Kurt moved towards them. He found Blaine, hugging his knees to his chest; rocking backwards and forwards; tear tracks etched on his face. Kurt's heart broke seeing him so vulnerable. He knelt down beside the frightened boy.

"What's wrong?" he asked, a comforting hand rubbing Blaine's back as if he were a child.

Blaine looked sheepishly into Kurt's blue eyes. "You'll think it's stupid," he said, knowing full well that Kurt would.

Kurt opened his mouth to protest when another clap of thunder pierced through the room which sent Blaine rocking more violently; his eyes screwed up tightly. Kurt was confused – he still didn't understand what was wrong.

"Blaine, you can tell me anything," he said.

Blaine looked up into Kurt's caring eyes and decided to confess. He'd never told anyone at Dalton before but here goes, "I'm terrified of thunder," Blaine admitted, smiling a little at how stupid and juvenile it sounded.

Kurt was shocked. Not shocked about the fear – he knew it was common – but surprised, and a little hurt, that Blaine didn't want to admit it. Yet another clap of thunder filled the air around them. Blaine buried his head into Kurt's shoulder.

In response to this, Kurt moved himself onto the bed. At the same time, Blaine moved sideways and lay down in order to make room for the taller boy. As if reading each other's minds, they shifted into a comfortable hug. Blaine still had his head in the crook of Kurt's neck. He enjoyed the way it was so soft against his own forehead and the way it smelled. Kurt loved the feeling too; Blaine's ungelled hair tickling his skin and the way Blaine nuzzled into him like a puppy would.

Even with the thunder around him, Blaine felt safe in Kurt's arms. He fell asleep almost immediately and Kurt followed soon after. The next morning the storm had passed and sun returned to Ohio, but neither Blaine nor Kurt was going to be the first one to move.

A/N - aren't those two adorable?
