I wasn't going to let myself crumble in fear and in solitude by your choice of wording towards me.
I wasn't going to let you see me fall, just like my brother, whom you so dearly loved.
I wasn't going to let myself accept everything you accused me of , fall in, vulnerable and weak.
I wasn't going to let you take away everything I stood for and that which I defended.
I wasn't going to let myself be afraid of death, for everyone's time comes.
I wasn't going to let you see me cry, and give up everything I once wished and hoped for.
I wasn't going to let myself down this time, throwing my life away with no pride.
I wasn't going to let you take over me and become a burden.
I wasn't going to let myself believe that you once did care about me, for I know now the deceiving truth.
I wasn't going to let you fear for my fate, pretend like you didn't care.
I wasn't going to let myself feel that there was any hope left between as we call, father and son.
I wasn't going to let you see me fail again.
