Sora was in the gummi ship whit donald and goofy one day the were on there way from halloween town to a world that had just appeared.
However when halfway there something showed up on soras radar sora however ignored thinking it was just another heartless.
Then he spotted something in his mirror speeding in from behind him...a comet if it hit the ship then the whole thing would get blown up but at the same time it was so big that there was no way to swerve out of the way.
It hit the gummi ship exploded knocking Sora out and chucking him towards the new planet with near to no chance of survival.
