"Mreow!" A cat yowled as it was picked up by a group of boys. They laughed as it squirmed and writhed in their grip. The cat yowled again and attempted to scratch, but to no avail. The boys laughed again and attempted to hit the cat, before they were hit in the back of the head with a trashcan. They looked in anger at the attacker, and charged. The attacker made quick work of them and the cruel boys ran off crying their eyes out. Once they were gone, the one who had thrown the trashcan approached the forgotten cat and picked it up. Grey eyes met the green eyes of the cat before it jumped out of the arms of its savior and ran off in fright. The savior understood and let it go. Walking over to a puddle of water in the alley way, they looked at themselves in the water. Long pastel pink hair, pale white skin, and sharp gray eyes stared right at the beholder. The girl sighed, and got up, ruffling her pink hair, looking down at her outfit and sighing again. Walking out the alley, she turned a street, pulling out a pack of cigarettes. She pulled out her lighter and lit it, taking in the smoke in her lungs and walking down the street. She adjusted her black studded backpack which held all her personal belongings and continued walking, catching the attention of passerby. She was not normal, at least not in their standards. But of course, she didn't care. Ashley never cared.

After walking around the city for several hours, she entered a nearby convenience store began to take off items off the shelves, such as takis and ramen, small items in which she had no intention of paying. Once she was done, she walked out the store, and left no trace of herself being there, as though she had never existed. Nobody noticed. Nobody ever noticed. Who would notice and even bother to care, as she was homeless?
