A New Beginning
Ash Ketchum, a 10 year old boy from Pallet Town walked down the familiar dirt path, taking in the breathless scene before him, the forest was as green as ever and filled with life, bug pokemon scattered across the path, bird pokemon chirped happily through the breeze. Ash grinned as he saw the wooden sign that read "Pallet Town." He was finally home. The young boy whirled into the hair as he turned his cap to the side, he picked up the pace and began to run. It wasn't a long walk to his house, he'd be there in no time. As he ran through his small town he looked back upon his amazing journey, his pokemon were with him all the way, but do you know who else was with him? That's right, his two best friends, Misty and Brock. Misty was like an annoying sister to him, someone who he could fight with but someone who he could also rely on. Brock, he didn't even know where to start, Ash could never thank Brock enough for the things he taught him and his pokemon, he wished him well on his dreams to become a pokemon breeder. Ash stood still before his wooden door. He took a deep breath as he placed his hand on the door handle, slowly turning it and opening the door. He walked inside, immidiately a strong aroma off bacon and eggs could be smelt, he knew his mom was cooking breakfast. "Mom!" Ash yelled, a large smile was placed across his face. "Ash? Is that you?" Delia's voice could be heard from the kitchen. Delia walked through the door to greet her son, "Oh Ash! It's been so long!" She gleamed joyfully, pulling her son into a warm hug. "I missed you so much!" The woman spoke, "How was your journey, Ash?" She asked him. Ash broke the hug, and looked up at his mother, "It was amazing, mom! I didn't win the Indigo League but I tried my very best and that's what counts!" Ash smiled. "That's right, Ash. Well, you're just in time for break- oh..." Delia cut her sentence short as she turned her direction towards the clock. A worried expression was placed on her face, "Ash I actually heard uh..." Delia struggled to finish her sentence, she placed her index finger on her bottom lip and thought for a brief second, "Ah! Yes! I heard that Proffesor Oak was looking for you! S-So you better go look for him quickly!" She spoke, her tone of voice sounded off, even Ash could notice something was wrong. Suddenly the front door swung open, "Honey! I'm home from work!" An extremely familiar voice spoke, Ash turned around, looking at who had just entered his home. He couldn't believe his eyes. "Brock?" Ash asked as he looked at his friend, who was wearing a brown work suit and a brown hat, carrying a black briefcase. "Oh.. Ash." Brock spoke as he walked through the front door, placing his hat on the hat stand. "I see you're home now, Ash." Brock said as he placed his hand on Delia's shoulder. "Wait a minute... I-I what is going on?!" Ash yelled, his eyes glossed over as he took a few steps back. Delia spoke quietly, "Ash... please let me explain." Ash clenched his fist, anger ran all through him, "No!" He yelled, a single tear rolling down his face, "I don't want to hear your explination!" Ash whirled around and ran up the stairs, letting out loud sobs.
