Lakeside House

The night was vibrant, to say the least. Crickets chirped, the moon glowed like a diamond, and even the stars seemed to be a bit more bright.

But that beauty was nothing, thought Kazuto Kirigaya, to the woman sitting next to him in the car. Asuna Yuuki, once girlfriend, now newlywed wife for the third time, lay asleep, her face still. Kazuto gently reached out and tapped her cheek, and her eyes opened. They gave off a feeling of one thing.

Pure, utmost love.

"Hey. We're here." Kazuto said. "You up to walking?"

"I don't...think so." Asuna replied, her wedding gown rustling as she moved. Kazuto smiled, kissed her on the forehead, and walked around to her side of the car. He gently picked her up, ironically in the bridal style, and headed towards the door, making sure to lock the car.

"Mhm…" Asuna murmured, snuggling into his chest. "You're so warm, Kirito."

"Maybe from all the dancing we did at the reception." Kazuto said, proceeding up the stairs. Asuna merely smiled, and rested her head on his chest. As they entered the bedroom, Kazuto set her down on the oaken, four-post bed. Kazuto soon laid down, and opened his arms.

Asuna obliged, as she curled into his embrace. They remained like that for a while, merely holding the other. Asuna would occasionally give a murmur of happiness, and Kazuto replied with a kiss to her hair.

"Hey, Asuna?"

"Yes?"

"You want to get changed?" he asked. "For bed?"

"Maybe later…" she yawned. "I'm just too comfy. Besides, I love this dress. If I take it off now, it might kill the moment."

Even Kazuto had to agree with that. The gown was reminiscent of a colonial gown, in terms of shape. A large skirt with a few petticoats showed off her slim figure, woven with sequins and ruffles. The top had a heart-shaped bodice, with a glistening diamond at her neckline. Two small shawl-like sleeves kept her arms in line, and shimmering white gloves covered her hands.

All in all, she looked less like a human and more like an angel or fairy. Kazuto smiled and gently moved her head to his chest, and they resumed their tender moment. Asuna, after a while, started to doze off, and Kazuto felt like doing the same.

"Kirito?"

"Yes?" he asked.

"You know what couples do on their wedding night, right?" Asuna said. "Do you think we could wait a little bit before we do...anything serious?"

Kazuto said nothing, only stooping to kiss her lips. He smiled, and spoke.

"Of course, Asuna. Anything."

Asuna felt tears start to fill her eyes, and they embraced once more, Kazuto running his hands down her back and through her hair. Eventually, Asuna moved away, and smiled.

"I think I could get changed now." she said.

"Sure. Need help?" Kazuto asked. Asuna turned around, and he unzipped her dress, letting it fall down. Now, in the moonlight, Asuna's white silken lace underwear shimmered. Kazuto, for all his strength, couldn't resist her.

He planted his lips to her neck, and Asuna gave a contented moan. He pulled away, and helped her slide the gown off and onto the floor.

"Let's hang it up." Kazuto said. "You can change while I'm gone."

Asuna nodded, and Kazuto left for the closet. Finding a clothes hanger, he placed the gown on the rack, changed into a simple t-shirt and pants, before heading back. Asuna had already changed into a lacy white nightgown, and she awaited him with open arms.

Kazuto decided he couldn't keep her waiting. He slid under the covers, and Asuna soon joined him. Asuna was soon deep in slumber, and Kazuto merely watched her, kept her warm, kept her safe.

And they remained like that, into the night and as the morning came.
