"Harry. Harry wake up. HARRY WAKE UP!" Ron yelled at Harry's face at about five in the morning. Still not entirely awake, Ron pulled him out of bed and tossed him a bathrobe. This must be important enough for Ron to wake up early and yell at Harry's face. Ron mostly refuses to wake up before 8 in the morning.
"Ginny's looking for you. She's in the common room." He explained. Harry raised his eyebrows at him. Ron shrugged.
"She told me last night to find you. She said she'd tell mum about me drinking firewhiskey last month if I don't."
Harry remembered that night all too well. They had won the Gryffindor vs. Slytherin quidditch match that day and someone snuck in some firewhiskey in butterbeer bottles and Ron had the misfortune to take one too many bottles. Or four. He spent the rest of the night hiccupping to "Weasley is our King" and streaking on the quidditch field with a red banner that read, "Slytherins can eat my ass"
"I'll leave you two alone,"Ron said, although Harry was positive he would be eavesdropping, much to Harry's annoyance.
"Hey Harry," Ginny was standing near the fireplace, her hair looking dark crimson in the lighting.
"Hi Ginny. I was looking for you last night. Where were you?" Harry was very tired,
as it was about 5:00 in the morning.
"Really? I was looking for you too. Didn't you use the Map?"
"I should have thought of that," he admitted sheepishly. "It could have really saved me some time," He laughed while taking a seat and Ginny positioned herself against his knees as she always does.
"Sorry I woke up you up so early. It seems like the only time we have alone. And sorry I had Ron wake you up, I didn't want to sneak up your dorm and walk in on someone dressing." She blushed and chuckled at her last comment.
"It's okay, but I think we might not be entirely alone." Harry said softly. She looked up at him, surprised, and then looked around the room.
"It probably wasn't a good idea to have your brother wake me up. I have a feeling he might be eavesdropping. You did sort of gave him the idea that this was extremely important." Harry explained quietly so Ron wouldn't hear. Ginny rolled her eyes at her older brother's protectiveness. She pointed her wand at the doorway and whispered "muffliato".
"By the way, Romilda Vane told me to give you some chocolates she didn't want but I'm pretty sure those have love potions in them, so you better watch out for her." Ginny smirked at another one of Romilda's famous failed attempts to get Harry to snog her.
"Lately I've been watching out for almost everyone." He admitted, a little guilty. Harry loves Ginny, but all these girls asking him out every five minutes makes him feel like he was cheating on her, though he always turn every girl down.
"Yeah. I guess being The Boy Who Lived does that to you," a hint of sadness in her voice. Harry stroked her hair, not knowing what else to do to comfort someone.
"Maybe I oughta take some polyjuice potion to get ourselves some privacy," said Harry. It's not such a bad idea but Harry would prefer to keep his own face when he's with Ginny
"Hmm... You could use a hair cut," He laughed at that one. Ginny always thought his hair was so messy because he almost never cuts it.
"But for now," she said pulling herself onto Harry's lap, "I think I like it this way."
"Then it should be kept like this."
"Mhhmm" was her response before giving Harry a full out snog. It struck him that it had been perhaps a week since they've been this close.
"Want to get some breakfast?" she asked. It was probably around six thirty when they left the common room and headed for the dining hall, never letting go of each other's hands...
