Ok, almost to the border, almost there I thought as I heard a voice from behind me.

"Kasama, what are you doing?" It was a voice I recognised all too well.

"Absolutely nothing, mom." I lied

"Really now? Because it seems to me that you're trying to cross the border into the land of the Village Hidden in the Sand."

"And, so what if I was?" I started getting a bit nervous now.

"Well, if you did cross, I would have some of my Hidden Sand friends look for you." My worries left a little and I got a little smug when she said this.

"I don't think they would be able to find me very quickly, and once they did find me, I would be out of there reach." I said with a smirk on my face.

"Ok, so you're saying that a black-furred fox-man with nine tails wouldn't be noticeable?" I was a little insulted she underestimated my abilities but I didn't let it show.

"I hope you do remember that I know the transformation jutsu." It was the only jutsu I happened to know. I had spent weeks trying to convince my mom to teach it to me.

"Yeah, but still, since you didn't make it to the border, I'm gonna have to ask you to come back with me." I considered it a second and realized that it would be a good idea to go along with her because if I didn't she would fight me, which I didn't want to happen. Partially because I didn't want to fight my mom, and also she would probably kick my ass.

"Alright, I'll come back with you." I acted like I had a reason to have some sort of ego.

"You were coming either way." That's where she showed me why I had no reason to have an ego. This got me a bit deflated.

"True, but this is more peaceful." At least I was honest.

"Teah, that's true. Plus we both know you would have lost that fight" After that, my mom and I start walking back to our village, the Village Hidden in the Leaves and after a little while, my mom decides to ask me a question.

"Kasama, why do you always try to cross the border?" It was a sincere question so I answered it seriously, even though I had answered it many times before now.

"Because of the way I have to live here, mom." My way of life wasn't very nice. I lived in a cabin in the woods outside the village walls so that people couldn't find me. Plus, I was the only person there most of the time.

"I know you don't like having to live on the outside of the village, but it's for your own good. Also, stop calling me mom. We're too close to the village and it could be dangerous if people know we're related." That was another thing, while Hinata was married to Naruto, she accidently had me with Kurama while he was possessing Naruto's body. Naruto didn't like it so he told my mom to kill me while I was a baby but she didn't.

"Alright, Hinata. Also, I find it kind of ironic that I need to be protected from the protector of the village."

"Hey, Naruto doesn't know you alive. Let's try to keep it that way." She kept me hidden from Naruto and kept him ignorant about me so that he wouldn't try to kill me himself.

"Yup, I'm safe from Naruto, but at the cost of my brother, sister, and most others thinking I was a miscarriage." That was always a sore point for me, not being able to talk to my sibling even though we only share a mother and their father is more of a monster than they realize.

"I know you don't like it, but this is the safest option." She started using those mom eyes after that. It's that look she gives that shows she's sorry but this is end of discussion.

"Fine, but can you at least tell me what's going on over at your side." She seemed to relax since I changed the subject and she started talking. I always ask this question. Mom thinks I just want to know what's going on but I'm trying to find a way into getting to know the rest of the family via stealthy tactics.

"Well, if you must know, Himawari is starting at the academy in a few days." That was it. That was my way in so I could finally get to meet my siblings.

After a while, we finally got to the cabin that I lived in outside the village. It got pretty lonely their except for when mom visited which was not very often since she had responsibilities as the Hokage's wife. When we got there, mom stayed for a while and had some ramen with me then left. After she left is when I went to work. First thing I had to do is come up with a fake ID which meant a fake name since if I used my real name I might be found out by Naruto. I finally settled on a name "Mogane Kume" I figured it would work well enough. Also, I needed a cover story so that no one would be suspicious of me. I also needed some kind of disguise since I do stand out a little. I figured that I could go with black curly hair and properly proportioned for my age. Finally, I needed to plan out escape routes so that if someone important enough found me out, I could get out quick.

A couple weeks later, the academy started its year. I started toward the academy when I hear a voice behind me.

"Hey kid." I turn around to see Naruto. Well, I guess this is the test to see if this works.

"Hey mister." He doesn't seem to see or sense anything.

"Are you knew around here?" I can see why no one thinks he's a bad person. He looks like he's always got that retarded smile on his face and seems to be acting friendly.

"Yeah, I recently came here. I live just outside the village. My name's Mogane Kume by the way."

"Mogane Kume you say. That name sounds familiar, are you sure you're not from around here. Anyway, since you're new to the village, I'll want to come over and properly welcome you to the village." Ok, so I didn't choose the best cover ID. What I basically did was take name of the material called mokume gane and switched parts of it around. That might get me caught.

"No, I'm pretty sure I would remember being some where like this, and I'm not really wanting any visitors right now."

"Alright, well how would you're parents feel about it?" I remained silent and he seemed to get a little sad.

"I think I understand. You know, I used to be an orphan too. I had to live on my own and it was lonely." I got a little happy I didn't give myself away and that he thought that, otherwise I would've been screwed.

"Thank you for understanding."

"Yeah, but I'm still gonna drop by sometimes." This seriously caught me off guard.

"What?"

"Yeah, I've found that the best thing for someone in you're situation is someone there for you."

"Thanks for the offer, but I couldn't waste your time."

"Oh, it'll be fine. I'll even bring my wife along." That I really didn't want, but he didn't seem like he was going to take no for an answer.

"Alright, I'll give. So, when do want to come over?"

"How About tomorrow?" I didn't like it but I had to.

"Sure thing, by the way, I didn't catch you're name earlier."

"Oh, I'm sorry I've forgotten my manners. My name is Naruto Uzumaki and I'm the Hokage of this village."

"That's cool. Anyway, I've got to go or I'll be late for the first day in the academy."

"Really, you're going to the ninja academy. Well, don't worry kid, I had to go through the academy three times before I became a genin."

"Still, I don't want to be late."

"Ok, well, hurry up then. Don't let me waste your time."

After that nerve racking experience, I started toward the academy again. This is it I thought This is where I meet my family.
