Smoke poured from the bar creating a haze. Mako coughed slightly as he pushed the door open. He glared back at the faces sneering at him. His badge was polished and the party lights danced off it.

He wasn't normally a beat cop, but the Avatar was getting married at the end of the week and everyone was helping with patrol. Her bachelorette party was tonight. He didn't particularly want this route, but Chief Beifong left him no choice. He pushed his way through the throngs of varying degree of drunken people.

He heard her before he saw her. Her drunken laugh overpowered those around her. He watched as what appeared to be whiskey was bent through the air. He shoved the last few out his way as one of her guests, Suyin, spit rum in the air and then it was lit on fire. Hysterical laughter erupted from her group.

"Korra," Mako said sternly. The smell of alcohol lingered on her, and she turned to look at him. Her eyes were half closed but a smirk lit her face up.

"Why officer, are here to arrest me?" she taunted slurring her words.

"If I need to," he said solemnly.

A dark look crossed her face, and sitting back in chair she threw her arms up and gestured for him to try in. Her entourage made encouraging sounds and whistles.

"Korra, please," Mako pleaded.

"What, are you scared?"

Mako closed the distance between them. Korra sprang up from her stool and slightly swayed as she caught her balance. He closed his eyes and sighed. She wasn't going to make this easy. He reached for her hand but she pulled it up sharp causing the floor to buckle slightly. She hiccupped in surprise at her own earth bending.

"Korra, can't we do this the easy way?"

She laughed in response and reached for another drink. Mako took his chance and slapped a handcuff on her wrist. She turned around to protest, but Mako was faster than she was in her inebriated state and got the cuff on the other wrist.

"These are supposed to stop me?" She scoffed.

"These are platinum, Avatar,"

"Ohh, Avatar, now. Someone's upset."

Mako slowly led Korra through the waves of astounded patrons. Once they were out of the bar, he unlocked them. She turned; her face was flushed as she looked at Mako. He wasn't certain he was going to like the results. She gave him a pout and then reached up and wrapped her arms around and crashed her lips into his. As she pulled back, she murmured, "You should bring those on our honeymoon."
