"Little lady, ya sure that's a good idea? I reckin' ya might hurt yourself." Adventure Core or Rick had stated.
Kelly, who had been awoke in Aperture Science's relaxation center; had been wondering about for quite some time, searching for something that would ease her boredom. She'd been under for quite some time and had awakened rather groggy. Feeling the need to quickly do something, she had begun running amuck around Aperture.
In a short time, she had met Rick. He, much like herself, loved adventure and danger. They had become fast friends and rather enjoyed each other's company. Together, they wandered the ruins of Aperture.
Rick had filled Kelly in on what had happened to the once great underground facility. Rick was looking for a way to the surface. Kelly, wanting to get back to the world above as well, agreed to help him out. That didn't mean she didn't try a few dare devil tricks along the way.
There were several glass air vents that didn't seem very functional anymore. To Kelly, it looked like a giant air slide. Just for fun, she wanted to slide down one. It brought the pair to their conversation.
"What, I thought you loved adventure, Rick." She shot back.
"Well, I do little miss…but there's a lot of glass." Rick replied.
"Bah, don't worry about it!" Kelly shouted her reply. "It'll be fun. Just you wait and see!"
Before Rick was able to reply, she pushed her way into the air vent and let her body slide down the twists and turns. She laughed as she slid down the glass shoot. A quick pain shot through her left arm but she hardly noticed it.
The ride seemed to end all too quickly as she found herself at the bottom of the air vent system and back onto the floor. She looked up at Rick, smiling.
"See, nothing bad happened~"
"Yer bleedin'." Rick pointed out quickly.
Kelly blinked. Rick was pointing at her left arm. She finally lifted it, finding a gash that started from her wrist all the way back to her elbow. Blood dripped onto the glass and her clothing.
"Oh, so that's what that was…" She laughed. "Ah well. I've had worse than this."
Rick smirked confidently at her. "Well, that's what I like ta hear. Nothin's gettin' you down none. Still think we should take care of that though."
Kelly blinked at him as he ripped part of his tan poncho. He took her arm and began to tightly wrap her arm up to help stop the bleeding.
Kelly's cheeks dusted a light pink. It was not a normal thing seen by her. She rarely showed any kind bashful emotion. Rick had caught on it quicker than she had expected.
He smirked at her while he did his work. "'Bout time ya got at least a little bashful." Rick commented.
"Shut up!" She shouted back. "I'm not showing anything!"
"Yer face is red little miss." He teased.
Kelly puffed out a cheek, turning her ever darkening face away from him. It just went to show; even the toughest girls could show bashful emotion. And Rick knew just how to do that; whether Kelly liked it or not.
Unbeknownst to him, she quite enjoyed the attention; despite not speaking about it openly. She was too proud for that after all. So she let him do his work silently in hopes that her blushing face would fade away soon.
