Holy fuck, was that your neck?"
Ally blinked, her eyes trying to get accustomed to the darkness. She looked around. She couldn't see her dark skinned best friend, but she sure as hell knew she was there.
"What? I told you my neck hurt!" She protested.
"That doesn't mean when you pop it it's suppose to crack like it's broken, asshat," responded the same girl, Akitta Memo, in a astonished voice. "It's suppose to pop, like, twice and then feel better."
"Excuse my profanity, but can you shut the fuck up?"
"Since when does Joseph swear?" DeShawn, Akktia's fraternal twin, asked.
"Since now," the other boy responded. "I mean, we're in a dark as hell room that smells mustier than DeShawn after football, we were kidnapped from the 'lovely' Scorch by the people we've been running from for, oh what is, the past three months, and we are gonna be experimented on until we eventually turn into alien lookin' monsters and be forced to do WICKED's bidding."
"Joseph, I love the optimism, but shut the hell up," Nassie said. She paused for a moment before letting out an enraged gasp. "THEY TOOK MY HIJAB!"
"Welp, now we have to suffer," Joseph said.
They all stayed quiet for a bit until Ally spoke up, "so... who all is here?"
They spent the next five minutes counting everybody. Eight people were left of their originally twenty-one man group. That group consisted of Ally, Nassie, Akitta, DeShawn, Joseph, Lyn, Jace, Nate, and Jake.
"Ah, shit," DeShawn swore. "We lost Kayden?"
Nate sniffled. Kayden was his big brother. Sure, they bickered like a married couple all the time, but Nate loved his big brother and visa versa.
"I think I saw Kay go with the Right Arm," Lyn spoke gently. From the sound of it, she was in the corner to Ally's right.
"Linné?" Ally called to her cousin, "where are you, baby?"
Ally heard shuffling and then felt somebody sit themselves in her lap. She new it was Lyn by the length of her short hair and the dull shine of the blonde strands even though it was darker than night in the room.
"Okay, so we know Rachel, Hannah, Adriel, Isiah, Lucas, and Kate are dead," Jace said. "Possibility that Lil, Kayden, Anna, Malachi, Aubrey, Kiri, and what's-his-face is still alive."
"What's-his-face...? You mean Grayson?" Nate asked.
"Yeah, the boy that talks like he was raised in the most southern town in Texas," Joseph declared.
Nate huffed at the definition Joseph had given Grayson, but made no movement towards correcting him.
There was yet another eerie moment of silence. Ally was, yet again, the one to break it. "The hell are we waiting for? A narrator to tell us what to do? Let's get the hell out of here!"
"You say that, but I don't see you gettin' your ass up to do something," Jake said.
"Because we can't see shit, Jake," DeShawn pointed out. "But, in all seriousness, Ally, are you gonna do something?"
Ally thought for a moment. "Not if you guys don't have any ideas," she confirmed finally.
Nobody said anything. There was a thinking moment and somebody, Lyn, finally spoke up.
"We... we can try screaming very loud... a-and they might let us out..."
"That's... a pretty good idea!" Nassie complimented in a voice that sounded like she was talking to a baby."
"For fuck's sake, Nassie, she isn't stupid," Ally said in a disbelieving voice.
"Well, she sure proved that," Jake laughed. "But seriously, how the hell did we let a nine year old come up with that and not us?"
"She takes after me," Ally bragged pridefully.
Akitta scoffed. "She takes after me," she corrected.
"She's known you six months. I've known her her whole life," Ally sneered.
"Please, she takes after me," Joseph said.
"THE HELL YOU MEAN SHE TAKES—"
Ally's yelling was cut off when there was a loud creak from behind DeShawn. "HOLY SHIT!" he screeched, jumping away from the noise.
They looked up. A boy with brown hair and brown eyes stood at the door. He was wearing a ridiculously white suit with the smile of a guilty murderer spread across his face. "Hello, my name is—"
"God damn, you need to oil that thing!" Akitta reprimanded, taking her hands off of her ears.
"My name is—"
"The fuck wrong with it? I know it ain't just creaky hindges!" Nate said.
"My name is—"
"You look like a Dick."
"MY NAME IS THOMAS!" the boy bellowed.
They stared at the boy with a pissed off look.
"Who the hell pissed in your cornflakes this mornin'?" DeShawn asked, annoyed.
The boy took a moment to recompose himself. He took a deep breath and said. "You are required to meet with Ava Paige—"
"White ass name," Akitta coughed.
Ally looked at her. "Thank God I wasn't the only one thinking that!"
Thomas looked at her. "Allykay Diaz, I assume, I was warned about your blunt personality."
"You gonna think I'm blunt when I shove my shoe up your ass," she quipped.
Joseph literally choked. "That's my girl!" he praised, leaning over to give her a high five.
Thomas huffed. "Will you stop acting like a juvenile delinquent and listen to me!"
Nassie snorted. "You think she's a delinquent? Wait until you meet Nate's brother!"
Thomas groaned. He clearly wasn't taking a liking to them and they didn't exactly adore him, either. He was apart of WICKED. The people that caused there friends harm or death.
A girl with long, black curls walked in. She was taller than the boy and looked like she could take all of them on despite her lanky build. She had an all white uniform, also; white blouse, white pants, white shoes, white gloves.
She smiled at Ally. "We will be wating outside. I'm sorry my companion seems to be giving you trouble you should be aloud to move with your own pace. However, if you are not put in fifteen minutes, the guards will come after you." And she left with her friend.
Everybody had different views on the moment.
"The hell this place have to wear all white for?" DeShawn fummed. "Doesn't the song about Jesus say that he loves black, purple, and yellow children. Show them some love!"
"The fuck? I get the white suit comment, but since when the hell are their purple people in our world?" Jake said.
"How's he know your name, Ally?" Jace asked.
"They still haven't given me back my hijab," Nassie fummed.
"She was fine as hell," Ally said, dazed.
Everybody stopped what their conversations to look at Ally.
"Oh my Jesus. We gotta love sick Ally on our hands," Akitta joked.
Lyn smiled. "You can finally get a girlfriend, Al!"
Everybody, except Ally who just looked annoyed, laughed at the emphasized finally.
Time Skip.
"These will be your rooms," Ava Paige said.
"Allykay and Niamo, you will be assigned to this room."
Jace cocked his eyebrows. "The name is Jace. And I thought you said we would be assigned to rooms based on our genders."
Ava Paige sighed. "Niamo, you are female. Therefore, you will be sharing a room with Allykay."
Jace's mouth fell open. He screamed and walked in the room.
Ally turned to her with a look of disbelief and anger. "You transphobic daughter of a bitch!" she sneered. And she slammed the door in Paige's face.
There was a single bunk bed pressed up against the wall. There was a brown dressed and a single desk and chair. There were no windows and, like the rest of the god forsaken place, was white.
Jace was curled up on the bottom bunk, his face pressed in the pillow.
Ally sat beside him. "Don't worry, Jace, the whole place can't be like that."
He shifted to where he was facing her. "Yes it is, Ally! And you know it! If the leader is like that then there all like that!" Jace buried his head back in the pillow.
Ally rubbed his back. "All you need to worry about yourself and us, sweetie, there ain't no need to worry about nobody else. If that transphobic asshole wants to be bitchy then let her be bitchy."
Jace still just stared into his pillow.
Ally sighed. "Your a beautiful young man, Jace, and I promise you, nobody but this damn establishment thinks other wise."
That made Jace smile. "Thanks, Ally," he smiled. He sat up and nudged her with his elbow. "Who knows, maybe the girl is into other chicks."
Ally snorted. "I doubt it."
Time Skip.
So that fine girl was showing them around the place. Her name was Teresa, and Ally responded with, "damn she's fine and she has a beautiful name."
As long as Teresa was leading them around, Ally was completely dazed and didn't complain at all.
Everybody looked at each other. "You know," Joseph said lowly, "I think they planned this."
"Planned what?" Nate asked.
Jake beat him to the answer. "They put a nice looking girl in front of her, knowing full and well she was lesbian, so she could be star struck and not complain."
Ally glared. "It's not just because of her looks," she protested. "She...seems nice."
Basically everybody laughed, causing Teresa to turn around and look at them with scrunched eyebrows. Ally practically turned into a tomato and looked to the ground. Teresa smiled at her and she about melted.
"You know," DeShawn began slowly and quietly, "I would hate to see what happens when she speaks to Ally directly."
Nassie snorted. "She's probably had a heart attack." She pulled her hijab down a little bit. "Dear God, I'm glad they gave this back. My mother sewed it herself."
Everybody went quiet then. Nobody wanted to think of their parents. Ally stopped arubtly, causing everybody to pause. She began to pat herself down, checking her pockets and weirdly sticking her hand in her shirt.
"Dammit! Where is my neckclace?!" She began to feel more frantically, going as deep as her pockets (and bra) would let her. "Fuck! I must have lost it when I changed clothes!"
Akitta grabbed Ally's hands. "Ally, it's gonna be okay. Well find it—"
"Damn it all, Akitta! That was the last thing my mother gave me before she was shot in the head! I have to find it!"
By this time Teresa has turned around. Everybody was looking on the floor in their own pockets. She cocked her eyebrows. "What's wrong?"
Lyn answered immediately. "K lost her necklace!"
Teresa looked confused. "Who's—"
"I'm K," Ally said, still looking around. She heard DeShawn say something like, "oh, she didn't melt." and she glared. "It's really important to me."
She groaned and let her hands fall to her sides. "I just have left it in my other clothes. Dammit! We sent those off—"
"I can get them for you!" Teresa interrupted. She blushed when Ally looked at her arubtly.
"You can? Oh my god, if you can I will be sooo grateful!" she thanked.
Teresa blushed even harder. "Oh, it's nothing." She quickly composed herself and looked around. "So...back to the point—"
She began to explain what they would be doing for now on. Ally just nodded her head. There was one thing she would never be able to forget, though.
It was the way those sapphire eyes pierced her. It wasn't regular. They were solid blue. No little lines of lighter blue. Jus solid, baby blue. Her pupils stood out among the light color and her eyelashes covered them slightly.
"Oi, Ally, are you still with us?" Jospeh waved his hand in front of her eyes. Teresa was long gone but she was still staring at the spot she was staring at.
"Well damn, her brain did melt," DeShawn concluded.
Ally elbowed him. "Shut your damn mouth. I want some food."
Time skip (two months).
It was absolutely Ally's goal to get closer to Teresa. So by the time two months was up, they two were closer than strands of hair.
"Yeah. The Scorch was shit," Ally declared. "I mean if zombies and sand up your ass is your thing, go all for it."
Teresa giggled. She leaned her head against her broad shoulder. "It's hard to believe your only fourteen."
Ally smirked. "A lot of people say that, but I am fourteen. Passed it while in the Scorch."
"I'm a three months older than you," Teresa bragged. "And I'm taller than you."
"Now that pisses me off. Ain't nobody aloud to be taller than me."
They went quiet for a moment as Ally checked her watch. "Shit, I told Minho and Newt that I would meet them about this time." She got up and headed towards the door, bidding goodbye to Teresa.
She stopped her. "Hey, um... Ally. I just wanted to know... are you into girls?"
Ally paused. She turned around and said, "uh... yeah. Why you ask?"
Teresa shrugged. "I was just wodering," she declared.
Ally took a deep breath. Don't worry, she told herself. It's only a question a curiosity.
Time skip. Two days.
"I think Nate and Minho are together," Jace mused.
Ally cocked her eyebrows. "What makes you say that?"
"I heard morning coming from Minho's room last night. And it suspiciously sounded like Nate," Jace answered.
DeShawn groaned. "Fuck!" he swore.
"What?" Akitta asked. "You scared that our precious baby boy might have lost his v-card?"
"No, because his goddamn brother gonna kill me!"
"Correction. He's gonna kill Minho. He's gonna beat the hell out of us for letting it happen," Jake corrected.
"Yeah. Especially when he hears "DADDY, GO HAR—"
"HOLY FUCK! TMI!" Joseph screamed, covering Lyn's ears. "The fuck makes you say that shut in front of nine year olds."
"That's what I heard coming from that room," Jace defended. "Now just imagine our precious boy sayin' it."
"And that just gave me a mental image I will recover from," Nassie groaned.
"Y'all shut up," Ally ordered, "he's coming this way."
They all smiled a fake smile as the brown haired boy shuffled over. He sat down and stretched, causing his shirt to reveal a bit.
"HOLY FUCK IS THAT A HICKEY?" Jace screeched loudly. Everybody, including Nate, jumped.
Nate gasped and grabbed his shirt and pulled it to cover up his collarbone. "Minho," he wailed. "I told him—"
"I told you they had sex!" Jace interrupted. He patted Nate on the back and said. "There was no hickey buddy, it was just a trap to get you to reveal you did."
Nate's mouth fell open. "You—you—"
"So, Kayden is gonna kill us," DeShawn informed. "Get ready to die, folks."
Nate turned to Jace. "How much did you hear?" he asked nervously.
Jace are some of his food. "Enough to know somebody in that room has a daddy kink."
Nate wailed again and buried his head in his hands. Ally patted his back. "It's okay, buddy," she soothed.
"Yeah, bro, we just mad you were the first one to lose your virginity," Akkita informed.
"And we're mad because Kaden is going to kill us dead," Nassie added.
Nate rolled his eyes. "No, he's gonna kill me, you guys will probably just get the hell beat out of you."
DeShawn groaned. "I don't like the sound of either!"
Time Skip. Two months.
"The shit?" Nate pressed the button again. And again. "The systems down."
Ally looked over. Nate was pressing all the buttons he could to get the red light to flare up again, but it just stayed dead.
Thomas was the first one to notice something wrong. "Goddamn. It's been hacked."
The tension coursed through her veins, causing her to tense up. She gulped.
In the last two months she had been fucking brainwashed into believing WICKED was good. Everybody else was too. Their brains were now programmed to obey and serve WICKED. So whoever hacked the, hacked the people who practically made them.
"Are the cameras up?" Teresa asked. She kept her gaze away from Ally. She noticed that since last night, Teresa made a point to ignore her. Had she really fucked up that bad?
Ally ran a diagnostic, not letting go the idea of Teresa ignoring her. "Everything is down," she confirmed.
She wanted desperately to get out of the room, so she grabbed a flashlight with one hand and Nate with the other. "C'mon. Let's go catch those fuckers."
Nate let Ally drag him through the halls. The lights were also busted, so it felt more like a creepy movie than the WICKED compound. He pressed up against her, not liking when he heard creepy echoing.
"Ally...I hear something," he whispered.
Ally stopped. She listened for a moment and then turned around. "It's coming from this way," she said.
They began to walk the opposite direction that they were originally walking. Nate was jumpy as hell.
The sounds began to get louder and louder until they came across the source. They kicked opened the door to the room it was coming from.
They sucked in a breath—it was Kayden and Lil.
Time Skip. A year.
Ally hugged Nate, then hugged Joseph. It would be the last time they would see each other and it was eating her like she was candy.
Joseph sniffled on her shoulder. Joseph almost never cried. But he was losing his best friend. His sister. He had a right to cry. Nate was in the same state, but his body was racking with sobs. He had lost his boyfriend a little while ago and now he was losing his sister too.
"I love you guys," she said. It was quite, almost silent, but they could hear. They responded with jumbled words.
All to soon, the guards escorted them away and somebody grabbed her arms. Leading her to a bed and strapping her down. The memory wiping process had begun.
She saw Teresa. A blur. She was there though. Those radiant blue eyes. That wispy black hair. She only had four words on her lips for the girl in front of her.
"I fucking hate you," she seethed before blacking out.
Hey guys sorry if it's choppy but the blanks will be filled later.
