Nia has had a good day. Someone like Kara and Brainy has accepted her being a alien and a transgender. Even though there had been places like her home town where everyone can get along. She's been worried about perception even being alone in a more synical city like National. So she felt somewhat better about herself from at least using her powers helping take down Manchester Black and his weird loki looking staff. Unfortunately she wondered about her journalism ablity with people like Ben lockwood around. He was in jail for now. But he was a bully. With something to say. And he would come to say it again. People always would be both positive and negative everywhere in the world. Just was about having faith in yourself.
Turning around to Henry irons Avenue. All of a sudden her world changed. And she was being pressed against a wall in a alley. Her attacker looked like something out of brightburn. Esspecially with the glowy red eyes. With a modulated voice they said " Life or your money?"
Nia put her hands up "Okay gotcha take my money. But why are you doing this?" Honestly curious about her super muggers intentions. Since she was pretty sure this wasn't the same Supergirl she helped defeat Manchester Black with. Someone who mugs people with the exact same powers as Supergirl apparently.
As her black hair supper mugger sneered. In a foreign accent leaking through said" Americans and their pleas. You'd say anything to live rich another day." Nia says thinking tilting her head " But not everyone in the world is a snob. They're are aliens living here too. Peacefully. I'm a example of us being able to coexist." Thinking what this person would exactly go through to end up super mug her.
And this got the response Nia was looking for. As the pressure intensed. As she appeared to be crying angrily. " No! Don't talk about innocence. People like my Mikahli die every opportunity." Nia asked softly "that is why you super mug people. For his life? Would he want this if he was alive?" Thinking of her powers and their legacy. Being sure to test her suspicion. Or else she could get vaporized.
But her muggers grip weakened. "Mugging you greedy rich makes me feel justice for him." Like it made sense to her which made Nia's heart break. As they feel down into a hug. Nia rubs her back saying " My name is Nia btw. Nia Nal. I'm a alien like you. Born from both aliens and humans. I could show you where I live. That place that could prove we coexist. Then you could see what you're Mikahli would want you to fight for. If you want to." Honestly wanting to help her mugger. "Wanna go to my apartment...
Her mugger responded "Linda, Linda Lee."
So Supergirl show has the rights. This spawned from episode 21 this season. Love for both Kasnian Kara and Nia Nal. And a little because of Avengers Endgame. Alternate realities and all.
