Hi,
This is my first fic, if I can call it a fic, in any
fandom. I would welcome feedback, but please be gentle.
Author's Note: In this poem I refer to the soul, more
specifically "two souls." When I wrote this I had in
mind the type of soul referred to in Genesis 2:7 and
Ezekiel 18:4. And not the one that many belief
systems throughout the world subscribe to, that of an
Immortal soul that lives on after the body expires.
Genesis 2:7
"And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of the
dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the
breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul."
Ezekiel 18:4
"....The soul that is sinning-it itself will die"
Both above quotations are from The New World
Translation of the Holy Scriptures.
But since I have no desire to impose/inflict/suggest/push
my beliefs on another I hope you will feel free to interpret
this poem/piece in any way you see fit.

Title: I See
What do I see?
I see two souls with a common purpose
To keep their protectorate safe
To keep each other safe
The Warrior and the Sage
Each role is defined, though not all duties are clear
One is physical, the other cerebral
One gathers information, one interprets
Each is the family the other lacks
One comes from an environment that is hostile
The other from a wandering life
Each is there to give comfort when needed
Unfortunately, the relationship is imperfect
Quarrels have happened, causing both to hurt
Misunderstandings have occurred, causing the near
destruction of the bond
Others have tried to interfere, but none have
succeeded in breaking their ties
I see something, a friendship that is more
It is sad then that it is no more than a fable
Perhaps, someday one of us will see them-self in a
relationship with another that is similar.

Do you like it? Please say you do.
