Summer Sunrise
Sam and I had a date for a hoedown at the rez. I know he will get me a purple flower to place in my black hair. Yes, if you are thinking purple must be my favorite color you are right - it is. I had the right dress, the dress was light purple and my shoes are black.
I can't wait to go to the dance, especially to spend time with Sam. Yes, he broke up with Emily to get back with me. I hooked Emily up with are probably thinking - what have I done? Well both of them have been talking and have become closer friends. So I thought it would be a good idea.
I got dressed and looked at myself in the mirror for a moment or two, before my little brother Seth came barging in. I turned to face him. You could see him - his jaw dropped when he saw me.
"Leah, you look beautiful - by the way, Sam is downstairs waiting for you," he said as he headed down.
"Thanks Seth," I shouted as I took one last look before I walked out of my room. I walked downstairs, and once I got downstairs - there stood Sam with his jeans and a tight tee shirt. Yeah, he had a little purple flower in his hand. He walked over to me and placed it in my hair.
Once he placed it in my hair, we were off to the dance. He took me in his arms and whispered "We aren't going to the dance, I'm taking you to see a summer sunrise - I know how much you like to see it, and the purple flower looks amazing in your hair."
