Thalia was worried, since the visit to Miss. Castellans' house Luke seemed agitated. They fought and argued more, they seemed to battle every monster they came across. This was no problem for Annabeth Luke was her hero.

THALIA

We walked as stealthily as possible, Grover seemed confused he would sniff the air then occasionally through down a few acorns.

"What is it Grover?" I asked softly.

He shakily replied, "Oh oh, it's nothing" But I could tell something was up, the way he was twitching and sniffing usually said monsters. But the glint of panic in his eyes I had never seen before. He was scared of something, something near them. For the next couple of minutes they walked with only the eerie rustling of dried leaves for company. A large hill rose up in the horizon.

"There!" Grover yelled jovially," its Half-Blood hill."

"What," Annabeth questioned.

"It is the border for camp Half-Blood. "Encouraged by the sight of safety they picked up a jogging pace, but the closer it came the more panicked Grover looked. He looked such a wreck that I unfurled aegis, my magic shield. We reached the hill: silence, silence.

And then it howled, the very noise pierced the night, and then I did what they always do ... I looked behind me. An army of the most horrible things bounded forward, a hound the size of a rhino ripped out another huge howl.

"GO," I yelled at my friend's not quite believing how brave I was being, "GET HELP." But I knew that it would never arrive in time, I was doing this because my friend's meant more to me that myself. Tears streaked down my face as I watched my friend's run toward the house and I turned to face death.

Man, if this was Grover's' version of nothing never do I want to meet something.

"STOP,"I screamed. To emphasize this, I blasted the hound to dust by summoning lightning "Keep it up my daughter," A voice whispered into my mind. The army seemed slightly more hesitant but they kept coming I concentrated and summoned all my will, eight lightning bolts let rip from the end of my spear, shish kebabing at least twenty four monsters. There was still about half the army left and I'd drained my energy. The monsters closed in for the kill, all I could do was stare into a snake ladies eyes as she plunged the spear through my chest.

I died looking into monsters eyes … and woke looking into gods.
