There just wasn't a distance far enough between you and Bunny. There never would be. So why did you keep running, despite the current summer storm you had fled into?
Well, that was an easy one.
To clarify, you and Bunny had been together for nearly four years. As a couple, it would make sense that you two would have your, um, special moments. However, you never thought your special moments would lead to this.
So, why were you running?
Simple; You valued life more than anything. Especially, the three new lives inside you.
Yup, that's right. You are the great Jack Frost.
And You are pregnant.
This should be one of the happiest things in your life, right?
Nope! No it is not! Bunny would never want children and it was just easier to run away than to have him reject and humiliate you. To walk out on you and the babies.
It was just easier you leave now and have him never know what happened to you and never know about the babies. It was getting hard to run now and you were a bit light headed. You let yourself sink to your knees as you tried to breathe again, the rain of the storm only growing heavier and lightning flashing around you. You felt the babies kick against you lightly, almost as though they were trying to aid their mother in some way.
"It's okay, babies..." You pant out as you slip from consciousness, "We'll be fine."
"Jack, Jack, wake up. Please." A faint voice calls to you.
"Bunny..." You whine, "I'm trying to sleep."
"Oh, thank God, you're okay?"
"Wait...BUNNY!" Your eyes shoot open. You are tucked under a blanket, well, several blankets, almost like a nest. You quickly recognize the room you are in as Bunny's. Speaking of the rabbit, he is curled up beside you, lightly nuzzling your tummy.
Wait, the babies!
You begin to panic a little bit, but Bunny lays a reassuring paw on your tummy.
"They are safe, Jack. But, you almost weren't. What the hell were you doing out in that storm!?"
"Running." You reply tiredly.
"Why!?" Bunny scolds, sounding a bit more angry than you expected, "Jack, you could have hurt our babies and yourself!"
It actually makes you feel a little giddy, him saying 'Our babies' like that. A huff brings you back to reality.
"I didn't want you to know...I thought you'd be ma-." He doesn't let you finish.
"Jack, I love you and I love our babies. Nothing would never change that."
You aren't entirely sure if it's hormones or what, but you begin to cry. Bunny simply nuzzles you lightly, curling up beside you again.
"I love you, Jack."
"I love you too, Bunny."
