An early Christmas present for maka-chan!

Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN MAXIMUM RIDE!

Fang took a flying leap, he'd been recently kidnapped and taken to the School, but now he was escaping, the weird thing was, they didn't seem to care. But that didn't matter. He was out of the school, and that's all that mattered.

Fang felt a weird feeling in the pit of his stomach. The color seemed to fade a bit from his eyes. Probably a side effect from one of the shots he gave them, most likely gonna go away. He reached the doorway of the hourse they lived at in Colorado, but when he landed, he felt really short. Maybe the vision test messed with his eyesight.

He knocked on the door, his eyes closed. He made a small pose, he couldn't wait to see the reaction of Max's face when she answered the door to see Fang. Max opened the door, and Fang opened his eyes. He was so much taller than her. The vision test really did mess with his eyesight. "'Ssup."

Max cocked her head. Then smiled, an excited look in her eye. Priceless. "So cute!"

Fang tilted his head to the side. "Cute?" He blushed a bit.

Fang POV:

Nudge looked from behind Max and squealed like a gerbil. "He's adorable!"

Then get this.

Nudge lifted me up.

She's like, three years younger, and I outweigh her by like, thirty pounds, and she doesn't lift weights that much, even with her added strength as an avian.

Maybe I'm dreaming, and I'm still at the School.

Max was poking my nose and saying gushy things that freaked me out. "He has wings! Do you think he's from the School? He has a weird tone to his meow too."

Wait, meow?

Angel came to see what the commotion was about, and once she saw me, her eyes lit up like stars. "Oh! Max! It's so cute! Can we keep it? Please? Please?"

Max looked at Angel. "Well, he's a boy, so I don't know how'd he'd get along with Total, but dang, he's too cute!"

I narrowed my eyes, all of us got kidnapped from the School, I'd been kidnapped several times and made it back myself plenty! Why were they making such a big deal?

I looked at me hands.

No, they weren't hands.

They were paws.

"Gyaaaaah!"

I spazzed in Max's arms, and began fluttering through the room, crashing into the wall.

Angel scrunched her face. Yes! Her! She can read thoughts! She'll know it's me!

I flew up to her and purred. Yes, purred. And rubbed against her legs. She petted me, right in between my wings. "It's me! Fang! Angel! It's ME!"

Angel picked me up. "Max, I think it's Fang."

Narrator POV:

Fang smiled a cat smile at Max.

Max raised an eyebrow. "It's Fang? That cute little kitty, is Fang?"

This next part will freak you out.

Max fluttered her wings a bit, and squealed. "So cute!" She ran over to him and picked Fang up, he lowered his ears. "Can you frikin' even understand me?" He meowed.

The blonde squeezed the poor black cat.

As if on cue, Total trotted it, but as soon as he saw me, he gasped, and growled. "Who's that?" He snarled, baring his fangs. He flew upwards, and glared at Fang. The used-to-be-human kitty hissed and bristled. Then flew at Total. Who easily side...Flew him.

Fang face-planted on the ground, his tail still in the air.

Max held Total by his scruff in midair. "It's Fang, you dope."

Total laughed. "Fang? A cat? That's just sad."

Fang growled and flicked his tail. Then he yowled angrily as he was accidently kicked by a certain blind pyro, who jumped literally ten feet in the air thanks to his wings. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" He screeched.

The black winged cat ran in circles, spooked from Iggy's sudden arrival.
