Joanne and Maureen lay snuggled in bed. Their bodies so intertwined that it was unclear where one stopped and the other began. They had just finished several rounds of love making and both were content in the feelings of love and comfort that had enveloped them.

"Maureen, if I were a color…what color would I be?" Joanne asked, interrupting their peaceful silence, as she traced random patterns across Maureen's arm, which lay across her waist.

Maureen lifted her head from its position on Joanne's shoulder. She paused a moment before answering.

"You wouldn't be a color. You'd be like…sunset. Beautiful, but not always the same, breathtaking, assuring, sometimes scary, thought provoking, and confusing at times but dependable. Occasionally a show off but dazzling enough to get away with it" Maureen reached up and gently brushed some of Joanne's hair out of her face before continuing "and you'd be like sunset because you're something I want to see every night…and if you weren't there something would be horribly wrong."

Maureen leaned in and placed a quick kiss on Joanne's lips before laying her head back on Joanne's shoulder.

"Wow, that was…" Joanne whispered.

"I know. I amaze myself sometimes." Maureen replied.

Joanne let out a small laugh before saying, "I love you honeybear."

"I love you too pookie."
