Good morning Mother Nature
You give me sun and warmth today
In the middle of the winter
You stop the cold to say:
Smile little Capricorn
Wake up and see my day
Be happy and forgiving
Perhaps go out and play
Write a poem on lineless paper
Put your frowns and frets at bay
Don't think of the cold days to come
Don't waste this sun that way
Smile and be happy
Even though this weather will not stay
I've heated the earth for you my dear
I've listened to you pray
I've melted snow to reach you
In you're building of brick and clay
I've warmed the breeze to caress your cheek
So please don't turn away
Believe my rescue from the winter
Enjoy what spring I can repay
