Deidara stared out the window at the snow covered trees, excitement building inside him. He gripped his backpack tighter and thought of how much fun he was going to have.
Konan, his best friend since forever, was finally giving married. Up in snowy Tahoe for that matter. That meant beautiful fresh snow and killer snowboarding weather. It was supposed to storm tonight and tomorrow morning, so he wouldn't be able to go out till later in the afternoon, which meant that the blond was going to be meeting Konan's fiancé and all his friends and family. Deidara wasn't too excited about that, but whatever made Konan happy.
The blond stood up and got off of the bus, the crisp, chilly air tickling his face and ruffling his hair. Turning around, he walked into The Lodge. The lobby was nice and homey. It was exactly what you'd expect from the name. Rustic, wooden furniture, a fireplace, antlers, clocks, and nature paintings adorned the walls.
Deidara walked up to the foreman. A young, twenty-something, woman sat at the desk, sporting a burgundy sweatshirt and jeans. Her Black hair was pulled into a short ponytail, and her name-tag read 'Clara'. She smiled when she saw Deidara walk up.
"Hello, may I help you?"
"Yes, I have a reservation."
"Name please?"
"Iwa, Deidara."
"Ah yes, for the wedding right?"
"Yep!"
"Here you go." Clara handed him a bulky brass key. "Your room number is 217. To get there, you need to go through that door, outside, around the corner, and up the stairs. Enjoy your stay."
"Thanks, I will." Deidara smiled and walked outside. When he got up stairs, he saw a rather attractive red-head standing a little further down. He felt a warm flush take over his face as he walked closer to him. The red-head however, paid no attention to the blond. He relaxed a little as he reached his door; several down from the hot stranger.
"Deidara!" The said guy turned around to see the bride running down to him, bringing him into a big bear hug. "You made it! How was the ride up here?"
"Pretty good thanks. Excited for the big day?" the blond smirked.
"Yes!" She squealed.
An auburn haired man came up behind her. "Konan, why don't you let-"
"Deidara." The bride filled in.
"Yes of course, Konan's told me so much about you. So why don't you let Deidara put his things down?"
Konan grinned and took the key from Deidara's hand, unlocking the door. The said blonde walked in fallowed by the auburn guy.
"This is Pein," Konan informed once Deidara put his things onto his bed. "My fiancé."
"Nice to meet you."
"Likewise." Pein shook Deidara's hand.
"Come meet everyone else!" Konan pulled the blonde down the balcony over to the room that the red head was standing in front of.
"Everyone! This is Deidara! Deidara, this is Itachi, Hidan and Sasori."
Deidara smiled and waved, his eyes lingering on Sasori.
"Nice to meet you." Itachi smiled sheepishly, while Sasori just nodded.
"So you're the Maid of Honor?" Hidan smirked. "I'd enjoy seeing your ass in a dress."
"What?" Deidara turned to Konan. "Dress?!"
"Well…" Konan laughed nervously.
"I think she wanted to tell him." Pein glared over at Hidan, who in turn just chuckled to himself.
"You might not have to-"
"Might?"
"No you do."
Deidara glared at his blue friend. "I'm going back home." The blonde began walking out.
"Wha-!"
"Why don't you let him sleep on it?" Pein offered.
"Alright." Konan sighed in defeat. "Night Dei."
"Night everyone."

Deidara sighed contentedly as he snuggled into bed, pulling the plush, forest green blankets over him. Sleep almost immediately took over him.
