So, I've been thinking of this story for a long time now. I hope that I will be able to get my ideas to sound right on this blank screen. So, anyways, this is a really short chapter, but I hope to make future chapters much longer. This was kind of a test run. It will be much better in the next few chapters when my plot shows itself better. Wel...on with the chapter. I hope you enjoy.

"Hey Mom, where are my shoes!" I yelled as I frantically searched through my closet, "The concert starts in an hour!"

"I don't know Sarah, I haven't done anything with them." Ugh! I couldn't believe that this was happening! I had a concert in an hour and in that concert I have my very first solo.

"MOM! I have to find my shoes." They weren't in my closet, they weren't on my messy floor, they weren't in the bathroom across the hall, they weren't in the closet in the hallway…I didn't know where they were!

"Well what do you want me to do honey. I haven't seen them." Of course you haven't! Ugh! Again…I cant believe that this is happening.

"Well I don't know wh…Found them." Of course they were under my bed. I'm so incompetent sometimes. That's okay though, I take pleasure in the fact that I get it from my mother.

"Where were they honey."

"Under my friggin bed." The things you look for are always in the last place you look.

"Well why don't you come down here and get something to eat before we have to leave honey. You don't want to faint on stage do you."

"Coming!" As far as I was concerned, eating something was going to make me faint. Especially after my mini-heart attack during my shoe incident. I rushed down the stars with my shoes in hand. Mom wasn't going to let me go an inch out of this house without eating something, so I might as well. "What's for breakfast mom."

"Your favourite! Chocolate and white chocolate chip pancakes with cheese cream icing." Oh my goodness…I love my mother. Although I do wonder if I really am her daughter. I look nothing like her. Of course, that's because of my father's genes thrown into the mix. I have a dark complexion, thanks to my father, whereas mom has the palest skin I have ever seen. I also do not trip over myself every few feet. But I love her anyways.

"Mom, have I ever told you how much I love you."

"Not recently, no. Why don't you go get your brother up, he needs to get ready." Psh, why not just leave him here, rotten little piece of shit.

"Why don't we just let his sleep. It would be beneficial to everyone. Especially me…I really don't want him in my audience." Definitely not.

"Oh stop it. Go get him up."

"Fine," Then I realized something wasn't right…something was missing. "Hey mom, where's dad."

"Oh, your father will be back in a few minutes. He had to go talk to Seth. Don't worry, he'll be back before we leave. Now get up there and wake up your brother."

Of course he is going to be back before we leave, he always says he will be there. He has said it every year. And guess what…he's only been to one of my concerts…and that was in Kindergarten. And he's not even going to show up for my first solo…I really hated him sometimes. Especially in the next few weeks. I was about to find that my relationship with my father would never mend. We would forever be enemies.

So, this was my first chapter. The next one will be up soon. I do have summer school to attend, however, so they will not come super fast, but I will try my hardest to crank out chap two by the next two days. Allright! Please review, and tell me where you think my story is going so far and if you think it is unique or not. Thanx and bye!
