Hello people of the Austin & Ally archive! This is my first Auslly fic, so I'm sorry if it sucks. :( This is a short one shot. It's set during Campers & Complications. Before you start to ask me where have I watched it, I have not. It's just based off that one scene in the trailer. Enjoy & review! (:
Gravity
"Listen Ally, about tonight..." Austin began, when she walked into their writing room.
"You don't have to say anything Austin." She stopped him from speaking any further, and he replied with a brief nod of understanding.
"I mean, you don't have to not say anything." She corrected herself, after comprehending what she had said.
"You know what, let's just work on the song!" Ally exclaimed awkwardly, then took her usual place beside Austin by the piano.
Soon, without even trying, with their fingers dancing across the keys, creating a beautiful string of melodious notes. The sound that came out was so fluent, so majestic. It was not fast paced pop music, it was slow music, like a music box, the kind of music that you would listen to on a rainy day when you're in the car. It was sad, the beautiful kind of sad. At the same time, it was kind of romantic. Both of them closed their eyes, letting the music guide them, letting the music flow in their soul, blending into the music, uniting the two of them.
In that moment, everything was perfect. Just Austin, Ally and the music.
Slowly, both of them joined in with their vocals. Their voices were in union and harmony, the perfect match. It was as if they were made for each other. The lyrics were equivalent to a love song, and both of them sang their feelings, unknowingly. They were seated so close to one another, they could feel each other's body heat. When the last notes were played, they opened their eyes. Ally started playing another set of notes, unaware of Austin staring at her.
Ally was like gravity to Austin. She keeps him grounded, when his career first started soaring. Austin just looked at Ally, to him, she has never looked so gorgeous, in a simple red dress. When Ally finally sensed that he was staring at her, she looked up, into his eyes. It was as if an invisible force was pulling them closer to each other. Austin leaned in, but Ally did not. She just sat there frozen, with uncertainty, fear and conflict in her eyes.
Austin leaned in even further, until both of them could feel each other's breaths. This wasn't like him, being the initiative one. Austin wasn't sure what caused him to do that, (maybe 20 seconds of courage?) but she was like gravity, pulling him in, until...
"Austin, we can't."
