Kingdom Hearts: Shattered Hearts---CHAPTER 1
Your home, Sora! It had been little over a week since he heard that. The chaos had started to die down now, and the return of the two missing boys had caused somewhat of a stir in the small coastal town where everyone knew everyone and everyone felt everyone's pain. Where were you? What happened? Why did you leave? Why….. it still confused Sora. Why? Why him? Why….them? Why were they home now? After a year, he had prepared to say goodbye to the island he once called home. He didn't feel the sadness any more; after all Goofy and Donald were good enough. And yet… here he was, on his island, with his family, in his home…but why didn't it feel like home? One week since his adventure ended….. one week since these thoughts started circling his mind…. but one thing still bothered him. Why could he still summon the Keyblade?
"So, Sora…" That was Riku. He had been away for a year, just like Sora. Although he tried not to show it, coming back to the island affected him as much as Sora. "Yeah, Riku?" replied Sora. "Do you think its over? The fighting, I mean…" Riku seemed deep in thought. "I hope it is…" Sora lied "It would be nice…not to worry for a while, right?" Sora felt uncomfortable with lieing to his best friend. "Yeah…I guess." replied Riku, quietly.
"Hey, guys!" Kairi yelled as she ran towards them with a bottle in her hand. "What's up?" Sora asked as he and Riku turned to meet Kairi. "Look at this bottle, I found it on the beach! The waves must have washed it up…" Riku gave a sigh. "That's nice…" Sora replied, disappointed in the find. "No, you moron! Look at the insignia on the bottle!" Sora looked at the bottle closely, then noticed the emblem.
It was the King's.
"Well, open it already!" an impatient Riku spat out. "Okay, okay! Sheesh….." Kairi opened the bottle and they read it to themselves.
Dear Sora and Company,
I hoped it was over, but I was a fool for believing so. The darkness is growing, and your services are needed once again. I have sent Goofy and Donald to pick you all up and bring you back here, so they should be arriving soon. Please prepare.
