Jennifer Jareau wrapped the foam green bathrobe tight around her body as she scurried across the snow covered patio to the garage. Her floppy sandals did nothing to keep the snow off of her feet. She and Dave were suppose to be on a plane to Turtle Island, an exclusive resort in Fiji, however, a blizzard had shut down the airport in DC. She had been looking forward to this vacation for a long time, Henry was in New Orleans with his father and she and Dave finally got a break from chasing bad guys.

She had spent hours and hours pouring over every word in the guidebook about the island. Only 28 guests were allowed on the island at one time. Each cottage, or "bure" as the locals called them, had a private beach and a Bure Mama who tended your every need. The island had served as the shooting location for the movie Blue Lagoon, in fact, one of the bure's was called the Brooke Bure.

JJ, pushed the side door of the garage open, hopped inside and slammed the door closed. She was immediately aware of the sweltering heat inside the building. She slowly turned and took in the sight before her. The cars had been removed and in their place was a large expanse of sand, beach chairs, an umbrella, a miniature swimming pool and a makeshift bar. On the edges of the sand were a dozen or more heat lamps.

"Welcome to paradise," Dave said cheerily.

JJ looked at him and smiled. Her handsome Italian was wearing Burmuda shorts, an open Hawaiian print shirt and sunglasses.

"Thank you, kind sir," she smiled in return. She loosened the belt of her robe and removed it to reveal the pale yellow bikini that Dave had insisted she wear. She had thought him crazy when he told her to put it on and meet her in the garage but now she knew he was incredibly ingenious.

"Would madam care for a fruity drink in an umbrella," he asked as he took her hand and led her to beach chair.

She settled into the chair under the warmth of a heat lamp and nodded. "I would love one. Thank you."

She continued to smile as he went to the bar and made her a drink. As she relaxed she realized that she could hear the ocean and the coos of seagulls. Dave returned with her drink and settled into the chair beside her. JJ took a sip of the refreshing beverage and murmured in delight. She nestled the glass in the sand between their chairs and took note of a camera and a bottle of sunscreen.

"You have really thought of everything, haven't you," she stated aloud.

"I have done my best," Dave replied. He reached over and took her hand in his then brought to his lips and planted a soft kiss on her knuckles. "Is there anything else you would like my dear?"

JJ shook her head and wrapped her fingers around his. "This is perfect, much better than a flight on a cramped airplane."

"I'm sorry the vacation got cancelled," he said solemnly.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she mused. "I'm on vacation right now. All I really needed was you."

"You remember that later when we're washing sand out of places that sand shouldn't be," he told her with a grin.

She grinned back and squeezed his hand. "It'll be totally worth it."
