Batman is out doing a routine patrol around Gotham when he gets a call from S.H.I.E.L.D asking Batman for help. He drives back to the batcave, climbs into the Batwing and fly's to the Heli Carrier. Once onboard he is greeted by Nick Fury commander of the Heli Carrier.
Once inside Batman is introduced to the council. One of the members says, "We're glad you could make it Batman. We are been invaded by Loki and his forces. Now we sent the avengers the equivalent of your justice league but all were captured. We hope you can help us." "I would like to help but who will protect Gotham?" replies Batman. "No worries I have already notified Robin," says Fury. Batman says, "I will find Loki but I will need something to track him with." Batman is then handed Loki's staff. He climbs into the Batwing and sets off to look for Loki.
On the ground he sees a man with a green outfit and speculates its Loki. He asks Nick for all the facts on Loki. Nick replies saying Loki is a god gone rouge so he would have to be careful. On the ground he is targeted by Loki's minions though he deals with them easily. He is then confronted by Loki who says, "Pathetic, if a group of other heroes couldn't stop me than want can a mortal dressed as a bat do to me!" Batman replies, I'm no mere mortal Loki." He then throws a batarang at Loki who catches it. Loki laughs, "You really thought that was going to work mortal." Batman calmly says, "Wait for it." "Tick" Loki looks down and is then thrown back by the explosion into a wrecked bus.
Getting up he sees Batman who is gliding towards the ground and tries to shoot him down with a minion's gun but to no avail. On the ground Batman tries to get Loki to surrender instead he is shot a couple yards back into his Batwing. Loki arrogantly laughs and tries to shoot Batman but instead has gun pulled out of his hands by the batclaw. Angered he tries to punch Batman only to be kicked and hit back into the same bus. Loki figures out that this human is smart so he will have to be sneaky. Unseen to Batman he makes a clone of himself the clone says, "Mortal try to hit me now." Batman runs and has he hits the clone disappears and the real Loki shoots him with his staff. Luckily Batman was wearing a protype armour that protected him. Furious Loki stands on up of Batman and before he tryst p stab him he shouts, "Any last words mortal." "Yes look behind you!" replies Batman. Charging towards him is the Batmobile. Before Loki can react he is hit and flung back many meters into a building.
Batman calls Nick and Loki is locked away. The avengers were liberated after Batman called the League to rescue them. Later Loki was transported by his brother Thor to an Asgardian prison. Batman returned to Gotham feeling tired and beat up.
