A/N: Link in a Fairy's Fountain, set in OoT. Drabble, oneshot. Enjoy, my readers!
Fairy's Fountain

Link ogled in awe at the sight of the pristine white fountain, blue flames kindling, the serene atmosphere. Though it wasn't what one would think of a 'fountain,' it still had that glorious sensation about it. It was is if he could hear a harp playing in the background, a soft, gentle tune creating calmness in the mind.
Link felt out of place in such an area. He reeked of sweat, blood, and soot from the Fire Temple; his green tunic ripped and stained with blood from cuts and gashes on his chest, and his old gloves and Kokiri boots worn and punctured in places. His 'gold' earring was now as black as the soot that covered him.
The 'fountain' was exactly the opposite. Spotless, sparkling tile on the ground; the water dripping had to be so pure it was not drinkable.
Nevertheless, he walked up to the crest of the Royal family and fumbled through his inventory to find the miniature Ocarina of Time he treasured so much. His hands trembling from being sent adust, he brought the instrument to his lips, playing the memorable lullaby taught to him by the Sheikah guard Impa. The notes echoed far; Link could feel their power as the water began to ripple in front of him.
Intriguing as that was, he did wish to see the great being that would appear out of the fountain...
As he thought that, a larger ripple occurred, and the Great Fairy of Courage flew out of her fountain. Her reddish hair shimmered in the dim light, her earthen clothing had an especially shiny sort of gleam to it.
"Hello, Link! I'm glad to see you again. Allow me to soothe your wounds..." she cooed in a mystical, singsong voice that calmed down to the soul.
She sent down a large, magical ray of light; it lifted Link off his feet and he had to refrain from gasping. It made him feel weightless, almost. As he floated there, he could feel the pain of his wounds going away, dissipating by the second. He finally felt inwardly and outwardly cleansed; pure.
A startle it was to be set back down on the ground, though. The reality of the situation sank back into his mind at this time.
"When battle has made you weary, please come back to see me, Link." The Great Fairy seemed to dissolve before him, back into the security of her fountain.
Link turned and walked toward the entrance to the fountain, to leave after such a detour from the journey. But before exiting, he turned to admire once more... the Fairy's Fountain.
A/N: Well, there you have it. Emotion and description. No, he isn't infatuated with the fairy! O.o
To clear this up, yes the fairy may look like the ones in MM, that was the intention. Everything else is OoT based. (Well, except for when I imagine Link, I imagine TP Link, but they are basically the same ;) )
