Chapter III
Masaomi Kida had been 'Ari''s closest 'guy friend' simply for the fact she was deeply in love with him. Even though the female was mostly reticent regarding the secret about her crush, she still trusted and told Masaomi's childhood friend, Mikado Ryugamine, and the just as quiet as her but not as outgoing as her, Anri Sonohara. Other than those three, 'Ari' really didn't have many friends even though she knew quite a few people. Usually made by Shizou and the trouble he finds himself in on a daily basis, 'Ari''s relationships with the people she knows keeps her on an up-to-date schedule with what Shizou does whenever he is off in town. Most of the fights that he gets into are with Izaya Orihara, her brother's biggest rival who has a crush on her. When it comes to things like that 'Ari' just hears it from the Dullahan Celty Sturluson and her so-called "boyfriend" Shinra Kishitani. But there are some secrets that she will never tell her friends… Her real name and her brother's identity.
Chapter IV
On a usual basis Mikado, Anri, and Shizou's friend Tom Tanaka come to visit the siblings in the hospital. Anri would send flowers, Mikado would tell the occurrence of the day and funny jokes to keep her spirits up (though they weren't rather funny and she wouldn't really giggle at them but only smile) and Tom would have a casual chat with her about the "Old Days with Shizou", checking on his old friend every now and again. Everything was calm and quiet for the most part in the hospital, the people at the front desk letting those who have permission to visit patients, doctors and nurses entering and exiting rooms, and the sound of the heartbeat meter were the only things that kept the building going. This "routine" bore 'Ari', though her expression remained blank, nothing seemed exciting to her and seeing the few people out of the many she had in life that she knew grew tiring. She looked towards her brother and sighed, wondering when he'll wake up soon. "Open your eyes 'Shi-Shi'." (The nickname she gave him) she whispered, though she could rather not speak much at all out of not wanting to since that day. "Open your eyes and speak to me. I don't want you to die. I feel like you're mad at me… mad for what I did. But I won't know if you don't talk to me. You have to answer me, "Shi-Shi"! Don't die mad at me!" The female's quiet whisper had grown into a soft yell, something that she hadn't done in a while. She gasped, noticing what she had said and knowing that no matter how hard she tried he could not hear her from his coma. She sighed, feeling that all hope was lost for her brother as the door to the siblings' room slowly creaked open.
