I couldn't move. Scared out of my life and scared for him as well. He needs to go...get out..save himself...he doesn't need to die. There is no way I'm getting out of here,not without the Armbands working. I'm stuck behind this force shield. Colonel O'Neill could make it out of here....why? Why not leave...save yourself?
Starring into your eyes, I see how scared you are. That is something to be expected. I also see that you would rather die yourself? Why? You shouldn't be feeling those feelings. I shouldn't...but yet..i do. Looking into your eyes I see that truth. That scary truth. This is why you don not get Physically involved with your CO or 2IC.
He wont leave me...as much as I want him to. The C4 id about to explode and all he wants is to die with me..please...go! I wanted to scream at him to leave me behind...but part of me wanted him to stay..
Your eyes never leaving mine...you must have seen the how scared I was. Not for me. But for you. You had to seen it. I could see the moisture coming form your eyes...tears?sweat? All I knew was I wanted to cry myself. Not because I know I'm about to die, but that you are too.
Your head jerks up and eyes look beyond, behind me. Then I hear them. My head snaps behind my shoulder. Jaffa coming from behind the corner. Weapons and ready.
I turn my head back to the Colonel. He looks down at me. I try to smile..
"Please....go."
"never."
"For me...please. Save yourself."
"I can't..I don't think I can..."
hearing the staff weapon open...i had to try..
"Save yourself to fight another day...they need you..out there doing what you do best..."
then it happened. The C4 blew. We crashed to the floor along with the Jaffa. I saw you get up and try to run to me...but was stopped by the force shield.
"Damnit."
"Leave. Save Daniel and Teal'c. I don't want you to remember me like this anyway....Sir...Please.."
"Nobody gets left behind, Carter..."
the Jaffa were knocked out cold. Then more footsteps, more Jaffa?
"JACK!"
Daniel and Teal'c came running around the corner. On the Colonel's side. they are safe. Daniel jogged up to Colonel O'Neill...Teal'c right behind him.
"Jack we have to go...NOW!"
"I agree O'Neill."
I starred at him..his face. Taking everything in. his face. His lips. His hair. His eyes...
"Not without Carter!"
Daniel looked so lost. Teal'c took steps towards me..then..thud...the blue crimson light appeared be fore us all. Teal'c look confused...Daniel shook his head...
"No there has got be a way...Sam don't worry we are gonna get you out of here.."
Daniel started looking around trying to do something..there was nothing..i heard groaning..the Jaffa that were knocked out were coming to. They need to leave. Now! Then they all notice the Jaffa coming to. I look at them all. They look back...
"Go." I turned my head back to the Jaffa, "now. Before the mountain explodes."
"there has to be.."
"No. there isn't. You know this, I know this. Go Daniel. Teal'c?"
Teal'c raised an eyebrow and looked me straight in the eye.
"Make sure Colonel O'Neill makes it out and back home safe on Earth."
"Carter, I am NOT leaving you here! You hear me? NOT!"
"Teal'c Please.."
Teal'c grabbed Colonel O'Neill and started to drag him out of there. Colonel O'Neill kicking and screaming after me...it was unbearable. Daniel looked at me. Straight in the eye.
"I'm Sorry Sam."
then he turned to follow Teal'c and the Colonel.
