Danse walked onto the Prydwen deck, his power armor clanking with every step. He had just returned from a long mission with Scribe Haylen and Knight Nora. As he rounded a corner, his trained ears picked up the sound of music playing. As the deck appeared to be empty, he began to search for the source of the music, figuring someone left a radio on.

To his horror, he turned the corner and almost ran straight into Elder Maxson. The Elder, however, didn't even notice him. He was singing, actually singing, along to the music playing on the radio. Quickly backing up out of sight to avoid embarrassing the Elder, Danse recognized the song from a time long ago when Knight Nora was digging out albums from before the Great War. "TNT" by AC/DC, the Paladin recalled. Except the Elder had changed a few of the words…

"See me ride out of the sunset
On your color terminal screen
Out for all that I can get
If you know what I mean
Soldiers to the left of me
And soldiers to the right
We've got the guns
We've got the knives
Don't you start no fight"

He was waving his arms along with the music, as if he was a man trying to dance but had never been taught how.

"'Cause I'm Elder Maxson, I'm dynamite
Elder Maxson, and we'll win the fight
Elder Maxson, I'm a power load
Elder Maxson, watch me explode

I'm dirty, mean and mighty unclean
I'm a wanted man
Institute enemy number one
Understand
So lock up your Coursers
Lock up your synths
Lock up your scientists
And run for your life
The Brotherhood is back in town
Don't you mess me 'round"

The Elder, still singing, turned a corner and walked straight into the formerly hidden Paladin. They sprang apart in an instant, both faces going red from surprise and embarrassment.

"Paladin!" Maxson yelled, his Deathclaw scar standing out in stark white against his bright red face.

"Yes, sir!" Danse said, straightening up immediately in the position of attention.

"Get out of my sight!"

Danse gave a hurried Brotherhood salute, turned heel and fled the deck. As he ran out, he passed a confused Haylen who was on her way to tell Maxson about the mission. He grabbed her by the back of her shirt and quickly carried her back out before telling her Maxson was not in the mood.
